I don't know anything about either show, so idk if they're the same or w/e. But I would say his original claim is valid based on this info.

Also the source is called うみねこのなく頃に "Umineko no Naku Koro ni"
If that adds anything else into this situation.

To my knowledge, it's not clear whether Higurashi's Frederica Bernkastel and Umineko's Bernkastel is one and the same person. There are implications, but nothing definite (the same is with the question, whether she/they is/are Rika Furude).

I'd say that Iam1vs100xp's is valid.

Well, this game was less than satisfying. I won't lolligag next time, thinking no one will claim the characters I want.

Nah, it's cool. I really only wanted Marina this game, with the possibility of a heroine from the novel Snow Crash, but I figured, since no one's going to do so, I may as well go for a VC combo. I never did finish Snow Crash, though, so I went for a manfu claim and took Char, since I'm in a Gundam mood these days.

Look at images of both, seems they're the same person. The claim isn't invalid it can just be stolen if not properly claimed. If the person who posted the original claim posts again (before she's stolen) with the full name the claim is then solidified.

That's like looking at a picture of twins and saying they're the same person. Or what about chracters like Saber that look exactly alike except for a different dress? I think if, in the actual story of the game/anime/whatever it is, if Frederica Bernkastel and Bernkastel are different people, then Iam1vs100xp's claim is valid and Toxic would be claiming someone completely different.

I don't know anything about the characters, but some information like Nyar's post above or some feedback from the claimers would probably help.

I know it's just a game, but it's not really fair to the players to just sweep it under the rug like that based on two pictures.

Frederica Bernkastel from Higurashi naku koro ni, is a collective thoughts of 'Dead' Rika Furudes in those repetitive tradegy of shouwa 58.

While Bernkastel from Umineko naku koro ni, is an 'imagination' of Tohya Hachijo/Battler.
Its vessel is a cat of Ikuko Hachijo.

To me this indicates all three characters are in fact the same. Whichever claim came first (Bernkastel, Frederica Bernkastel, Rika Furude) is the only valid claim. I'm not going to get deeper into the debate of whether they're different characters at this point, for the same reasons why I wont touch any card captor sakura debates; to try and sort through them all is something I dont have time for in my life. Different theories exist and I'm telling you as the games creator which theory I accept.

I just posted evidence as to why they're the same character? So yes, you got me, I just arbitrarily decide things without doing any research. In fact I made those two entries in the wiki because I was lazy. I am a brilliant mastermind who only seeks to rip your beloved waifu from your grasps.
