Waifu Game 8: Chat Thread.

If you really want to spice up the waifu game, you should give people a chance to challenge claims. The way the game is right now, the first person who makes a claim gets the waifu. In every game, there are multiple claims for the same character. First come, first serve seems like the easiest way to deal with the situation, but sometimes the easiest isn't the best way to approach things. If more than one person wants to claim a waifu, why not make them work for it? In the event that there are multiple claims, make them state their case for wanting that waifu and leave it to FAKKU to decide who is worthy.

Interesting but how would I go about judging. Would it be a test to see who knew more about the girl? Plus I would have to do a lot of research if I had to make those calls. I would like you or anyone else to expand on this idea with a more precise definition/explanation of how it might work.

Anyone who is claiming a girl because she's hot would be immediately weeded out. If you're claiming a girl, you should know who she is. The premise of my suggestion is to find out who can truly appreciate the girl as a character.

Just as an example, I'd like to challenge Data Zero's claim to Katsuragi Misato. When he claimed her, the reason he gave showed little respect for her. I know it won't have any effect on the current waifu game, but if he's willing to accept my challenge, I'd gladly shit on him, metaphorically.

The challenge aside, the decision doesn't solely rest with you, Waar. After everyone involved presents their case, FAKKU should be able to vote, or something, to decide who has the right to claim the girl. Ultimately, the decision would be up to you, but if the process works, I don't see any reason to ignore it.

No, I won't get into debate of "I like miku more than you do", we're talking about something subjective. It's also something that can be decided by popular vote, I can't trust the community to make a fair and balanced judgement with this many factors in play. Give me something quantifiable, something we can measure to decide who gets to keep a girl and I might consider it but as of right now you're asking the mob the judge someone's love for a character and that's basically a user popularity contest.

Have users prove their love by taking pictures of themselves with actual Marriage Documents. Maybe even a ring.
