In all honesty I believe mtg > yugioh in design but I play yugioh because they do a better job at balancing and cause I got sick of only standard being endorsed causing old cards to become futile. If you think Yu-Gi-Oh is balanced then you're as blind as that statement is wrong.
Yup agreed, Yugioh can be on the unfair side most of the time.
*cough*Synchro and XYZ Cards*cough* But those are only two examples.
I'd never say Synchro monsters were unfair, unless there's a few examples. They were more or less the new Fusion monsters, only easier to pull off.
Spoiler:
That just proves my point of specific cases. And yeah, those cards are pretty powerful, but considering the requirements to summon them(all those stars), that payoff is worth it, but it's easy to get rid of the sacrificial monsters.
Want a practical synchro monster that's stupid?
Spoiler:
This card had to be banned because of how stupid that effect was.
Lol he was pretty dumb, but nothing compares to Dark Strike Fighter, one of the most broken cards in the game. "How much life points do you have?" me? 8000 :D!
"I think I have game" D:

The most hilarious thing when it was unlimited, still hilarious when it was semi-limited.

That deck was tough to beat because I believe Solomn judgement was at 3 as well. I had to summon a Psi Blocker to negate his effect then use mind master to win.

I made sure I had at least one Soul Resurrection in my hand, then tried to get something with a defense of at least 1500 on the field, waited until it got to my Standby Phase, made several sexual passes at my opponent with variable success to catch him off guard, shouted "ohmaigawd, look!" while pointing out a nearby window, swapped play mats with my opponent while he was distracted, remembered that I didn't use play mats, panicked, threw my deck at my opponent's head, tried to jump through a window to escape, and then spent about twelve minutes crying because plate glass hurts.
Big league stuff.
[size=9]But really, I have no idea what this Synchro stuff is; I stopped playing a bit before ritual summons became really big (yes; I'm a Yu-gi-pleb).[/h]

I have a friend trying to build a forfiet deck or whatever it's called. you use cards that remove everyones life points slowly as you go, till it's a draw. somebody won a tourny doing that, and things got hectic. haha

Isn't 6sam obsolete these days though?

Most of the time but they can do some work sometimes, they sneak into top 8 at regionals sometimes. Lol at my use of "sometimes".

I wonder if my deck in Dueling Network is still saved...
6sam felt cheap in general, true, but I really liked the aesthetics and the lore behind the cards, which is why I stuck to it more than any other archetype.
