I only just heard about this band awhile ago. They're a mix between technical/melodic death metal and maybe even a bit of power metal thrown in there. It's kinda hard to track this album down, but I'm sure youtube has some of the songs on there.

Every since I listened to "Exile Vilify" yesterday. I been all over this band. Downloaded their discography a while ago.

I will updated this post if I think the other albums are equally as good as this one.

This is probably one of the most emotional rock bands I've ever listened to. The singer's voice just seeps into you and you can't be indifferent. The music is also really somber, but do a double-punch when it combines with his voice. Anyways, I agree that High Violet is a perfect album.

OT: I believe Sigur Ros needs to be mentioned here. This band is incredible, and their album Takk is just perfect. I can't skip a single song on this album.

Immortal by Pyramaze - As much as i love Iced Earth, i think this is Matt Barlows best work, cant wait for his new band to release some music.


Human Equation by Ayreon - Progressive rock/metal concept album. I've always been a fan of concept albums, and this one is just about perfect, its about a man who falls into a coma after a car accident, and his inner emotions speaking to him, and eachother about his past and the events leading to the car accident. Each emotion is represented by a different singer, its fantastic listen.
