Alice in Wonderland

I saw Alice in Wonderland last night, in 3d. It was a pretty nice movie, The CGI and the environment was eye catching and lovely. The actors played there characters pretty well... Well minus Johnny Depp in my opinion. The way he portrayed the Hatter for some reason reminded me of a mixture of Wonka and Sparrow into one... The 3d part, Well i guess its just my eyes but I didn't seem really 3d to me, well at certain points but there really wasn't much.

Does anyone else not like where they're going with this? I saw a trailer today and it looks so lame. Alice in Wonderland? Johnny Depp? Tim Burton? It's every bit as contrived and exploitive as Twilight.I think they're taking way too many creative liberties, on an intellectual property that's already seen too many remakes and adaptations to begin with, does anyone else think this?
When you run out of fresh ideas in Hollywood, you keep remaking the favorites and sometimes the least known movies.

Depp is typed-cast as a crazy guy, can anybody honestly remember when Depp wasnt playing a crazy or messed up character? I heard somewhere that Tim Burton is remaking Beetlejuice, dont know if its true or not but I assure you Depp will play beetlejuice.Secret Window
Finding Neverland
From Hell
Secret Window he killed his ex-wife at the end of the movie because he was apperantly two people in one this whole time and we assume he buried his dead ex-wife in his backyard and used her for growing corn. If thats not crazy I dont know what is.
Anywho back to the subject. I went to go see the movie. OMFG! I never seen so many emo kids in one place...well except for the time I went to go see AvP:Requiem because Sweeny Todd was playing which by the way has Depp playing another crazy looney character. Anywho... visualy the movie was wonderful.... and that was all the positive things I will say abouth the movie. I thought the movie was crap, its wasnt even following the Alice in Wonderland storyland. This movie was more of a blend of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Sorry too say but Tim Burton has lost his edge years ago. His last good movie was Big Fish and it went down hill from there. I give this movie a 6 out of 10.

The world of wonderland was done pretty well, but you'd expect that from Tim Burten. The Royal Knights actually looked badass. I still don't get why Burten combined the roles of the Queen of Hearts and the Red Queen. In the end though, this movie was not all that great. Very unnecessary trying to have Alice being called back to Wonderland and trying to start an adventure. It was entertaining but nothing I'd bother rewatching if I was bored.
All I can say is that I can't wait to see American Mcgee's version hit the big screen...if it ever comes out. I just hope it does, and turns out pretty well. The game itself is still an amusing version of Alice in Wonderland. As for Burten's version of Alice...well I do say if you really want to watch it, then go watch it, but don't expect much out of it.
