Are you attracted to intelligence?

I am; I love smart girls, the ones who read books. I prefer them to the ones who go out every night to party and get drunk, with little knowledge. As I am an introvert, I believe I would bond better with a girl who is also an introvert. But my shyness affects it, I am bad in conversation so there have been awkward silences. The extrovert girls keep the conversations going. I haven't had a girlfriend for a long time though, and I'm not that eager to have one again any time soon.

I think i've said it before in another thread. My ex-gf and the crushes I had were all smart girls. I think it's due to the fact that I'm such a dumbass, so intelligent girls turn me on.

I tend to be more of an extrovert, and I've had a few different types of girlfriends to be qualified enough to say that, today, almost any type of girl can be just as good or as bad as any other (excluding the baby-doll type, which are plain dumb and bitchy no matter how you loot at it). For instance, you can have a girl that's extrovert and likes to party, but is quite smart and even possibly a virgin. On the other hand, you can also have a bookworm type who just likes to fuck whoever she wants and just be a know-it-all type of bitchy. Well, these are just 2 extremes, but there are types that range everywhere in-between. But, as for my personal taste, I have lots of different girlfriend ideals, and it would be hard to say which type I definately prefer, but I'd have to say I would be more attracted to a smart, shy, virgin, selfless girl (does that even exist?)(this was for a potential wife candidate. For any normal relationship, I'd take any girl that gives me a good impression, no matter what type she fits in ->except baby-dolls, those are just good for one night stands, imo).

Also, a bit of advice, try to get rid of your shyness. In most cases it will get you nowhere. If you find yourself in an awkward silence situation, just say the first thing that pops in mind, no matter how silly it may seem. That shows that you're spontanious, and most girls dig that. And if you can't get her to be attracted to you, just find someone else. An important thing when you want to get a girl, is to not care wether or not you actually get her in the end. Kinda contradictory, but this will give you a better chance of getting her to like you. And if you don't, just find the next chick. There are many times more women on Earth than men, so you have plenty to choose from.

I'm attracted to intelligent girls, but not for intelligence itself, it's because i'm always talking, and the "wild party all night" ones, doesn't seem to like that a lot, also, a intelligent girl always has something to say and that makes fun to be with her.

Thanks for the advice, it's hard trying to lift this shyness. I'm not shy enough to the extent where I struggle to reply to someone who speaks to me, I am more: if someone talks to me then I will reply, otherwise I don't bother, kind of person. I think it comes from my introvert attitude. This is for most people I meet (IRL), I'm not that interested in what they have to say, I just want to get on with what I do (pretty cold, isn't it).

That may be true, but we're talking about your shyness towards girls you like, not in social situations. You said your introvert nature gets you in awkward situations with girls, meaning that you wanna find something fitting to say and just can't find it, thus the silence thingy. That happens because you think and care too much about getting the respective girl you like. Being spontanious is a good thing regardless of what kind of girl you're having contact with. If you're introvert, why not try admitting that and have a conversation about it?(that'd show that you're confortable with who you are) There's nothing wrong with being either introvert or extrovert, but it would be ideal to find a balance between them. Ambivert ftw :D

And btw, awkward situations can be very beneficial, if you handle them the right way :P

Another tip. When you're going out on a 1st date, after 15-20 mins kiss her on the lips and see how she reacts. If she responds to your kiss, she likes it, obviously. If not, don't fret, just continue what you were doing and try again later.

Another tip *2: If you see a girl you like just ask her out. If you've seen each other before, than you have a pretty good chance. If you've never seen her before, do it anyway, and again, don't care wether you succeed or not. It's all about practice and boosting self confidence. Don't get down if she rejects you, think positively. Without failure there is no succes. The more you try, the sooner you'll succed. I sometimes do street pick up, and I get more "no"s than "yes"s, but every few rejections I get a number.

Uhh define intelligence. Studiedly is one thing but knowledge is another. I am attracted to people with common sense, but not necessarily knowledge.
