Avatar: The Last Airbender/Korra

I really do hate how rushed the series felt from like episode two anyway. I do wanna say I liked the ending but it's kinda mixed feeling about it now anyway.

Yes the story was rushed that was clear after the first couple episodes, but I doubt the writers wanted it that way. I think with more time it could have been a lot better. I'll say it was decent if you look past it's shortcomings and look at what the writers may have wanted to do if things could have been fleshed out more.
About the ending I think Korra should have gone into the avatar state and then used air bending against Amon, that would seem a bit more acceptable. Also I've seen some people complaining that she should not have been able to air bend or get her bending back but the way I see it is, Amon was using blood bending not energy bending so I see it as a form of chi blocking and probable that everyone could get their bending back even if Korra didn't go into the avatar state.
Katara tried healing her but I don't think she tried blood bending which if you know how to take it away with blood bending you can probably give it back. It being a form of chi blocking is probably why Aang could return Korra's bending he just reopened her chi paths or whatever.
I agree with what others have said, yes it was rushed, Amons back story was a bit dull and the whole love triangle thing was stupid but despite all that... I liked it.

Anyone else feel bad for the Lieutenant with the sweet facial hair?
They also don't really address the whole "bender oppression".

I wish this was part of the storySpoiler:
Now that would have been extremely satisfying. Not like those f'ing waterbending tricks. Damn Amon.

Pretty much agree, with a special commendation of how they deformed bending into a sport, even though its a pretty cool version of dodgeball.

Seriously.... they bring in Tenzins brother Bumi for about 5 seconds and then oh look the series is done... if he was as crazy as King Bumi then well, my life would have just been that much more complete.

I thought this series was going to go in a darker root than its predecessor. It looked pretty bleak, and I was loving every minute of it.
Then the last 15 minutes happened. Wow. Saying I was disappointed would be an understatement. Another Deux Ex Machina to finish the season.
All that build up. All that drama completely ruined. And the most disappointing thing was that Even though I love Korra, it makes her look really weak. It was also a pretty convenient way to take care of Amon, eh? You've got to be kidding me. And what's stopping Lieutenant Mustache from taking over the equalist cause?
Why was this series so rushed? The standard 20 episodes would have vastly improved this series. What the fuck happened? Do they honestly think they can make a season 2 now? Everything has been magically solved in those last 15 minutes. I need a drink.

Probably by 2013. Though Azula was said to appear in The Promise Part 3.

Was I the only one who was completely unsatisfied with the astute lack of martial arts in the major of the bending performed? Tenzen is by far my favorite character if only for that reason.

It applied a bit but again series was rushed.

Yeah, the series was rushed. It was supposed to just be the 13 episode miniseries, but after the episodes were almost done, Nickolodeon extended it. At least, that's what I hear. So hopefully we get more character development this time around.

Even if we get a good 2nd season, the first season still exists as a terrible setup for all these characters and a throwaway storyline that barely sets anything up.
