Best way to promote the last part of The Promise? Show the last page.
Maaaaan, even when Azula's batshit crazy (well, she already was batshit crazy at her first appearance but.... you get the point), she still looks hot as hell!
Also, FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-!! Can't wait for the last part to be released.

I lol'd at her wearing lipstick in a straightjacket. IMO, she looks hotter without make-up.

Dude, she's in a robe. Of course she's gonna look hot! The human imagination is extremely vast

Holy shit, even though she goes batshit crazy at the end of the Last Airbender, she's still has her beauty. And also, is this actually from the com- oh wait i see the Dark horse comic icon :3

This show is pretty damn good.
I really appreciate the creators and how they took everything to the next level.
I also like how they didn't heavily rely on the old cast, and instead brought us new lovable characters.

The topic's been inactive for a while hasn't. I figured there would have been some discussion since Book 2 of LoK started in September. Any how, the newest episode(s) 6 & 7 "Beginnings" just aired. It was a one-hour/two-part episode. It answers the big question of how the Avatar cycle started and also significantly raises the stakes of the plot going forward. As for the animation in this particular episode, it was just beautiful. It reminded me a lot of Miyazaki's works with the art style.

The Beginning 1 and 2 must be my favorite episodes of the entire Avatar universe. Love the new art style they used.

I'm probably going to get some flak for this, but here goes... *deep breath*
I honestly don't get why everyone is hating on this series. It's certainly not the original, and it's obvious they're not trying to make it like the original, but you know what? That's a GOOD THING. If they'd tried to make the same kind of series again, they would have failed. Plain and simple. If you take a series as good as ATLA, and try to use the same formula again, it will simply not be as good. Honestly, a new style was needed, and that's what the new series did.
Furthermore, a lot of the complaints I've been seeing are about the end of the first season's finale, and how Amon should've/could've just come back and bloodbent them after Korra knocked him out of the building, but think about it: he was evidently incredibly shocked that she was still able to use bending after he took it away, and because of that, was less able/willing to fight. Also, it had just been revealed to his followers that he had been lying to them the whole time, so even if he'd come back and fucked shit up, there would've been no point; he'd already lost his following and thus his whole plan had been ruined. So, like any crafty villain would, he decided to cut his losses and get the hell out of town; remember, he was a tactician and a schemer, so there's no way he would've done anything that wouldn't benefit him, let alone something potentially suicidal.
Now, about the whole romance thing that a lot of people are complaining about, it's not like it actually obstructed the plot in any big way (as some others have already pointed out), so why complain about it to this extent?
Honestly, it seems to me that a lot of the complaints are only because people were/are too obsessed with wanting it to be like the original, which, like I established above, would have in all likelihood actually done more harm than good. Before I watched Korra, I rewatched Book Three of the original series to refamiliarize myself with it. It was an amazing show, even better than I remembered, but even so, it was not flawless (damn close to it though, admittedly). The main problem, in my opinion, was the feeling of rushedness of the final episode, and the lack of closure regarding Zuko's mom. There were some other things, too, but they were pretty minor. So, yeah. Rant over.

Urgh TLAA fans are the worst, they ruin every LOK every thread on /co/. Damn try even saying that you prefer LOK over there, people go insane. And I do, honestly, it just felt far more original and compelling. I loved TLAA but it just felt like filler episodes + a 'oh shit we need to end the series' episode.
Though I must say Book 2 of LOK was feeling a bit wannabe Miyazaki...

I think that the original has a better seance of humor, while LOK has a better flow of action. Both are good and i enjoy them enough to rewatch the whole series. But people need to know they are still 2 different shows within the same series.

So season 3's Finale came out... and just WOW! This has been the best season yet! From the beginning up until the end, every episode was fantastic! Season's 1 and 2 were great, but S3 just blew the two away.
Great way to end the season. And while I can't wait for the last book, I'm also saddened to know that it's the last one... How they can top this season, well we'll just have to see how they do it

[color=#993300]I must say it felt much shorter than the last two and I kinda miss being able to watch it on big screen television, since its the only show that my family will watch together *brings HDMI cable*

I (practically) marathoned Change during the Labor day weekend, and it was definitely a great season. Opal is too damn cute and Genora finding someone was rather sweet, not to mention how awesome Tenzen was at the end.
I am curious though, in the end of the last episode, why did Korra Maybe it was foreshadowing something for Book 4.

I took it as her realizing that her enemies may have been right about "being a relic of the past". With Jinora and the air nomads taking over for her, there's no need for an Avatar anymore.
