It seems like the publishing companies have finally learned their lesson: to be successful, the costly middle man needs to be cut out (foreign publishers), and sales need to be timely and digitized. Niche fans might not be big on Crunchyroll, but its business model has proven itself. This past May,
CR broke even, a significant achievement given the current economy. What's more, they announced at the beginning of this month that their revenue has been rapidly growing (

It isn't said when CR's manga service will debut, but my bet is that it'll open by the end of this year. Illegal aggregate sites going down is for this CR deal to even have a fair chance at working.
I don't know about you guys, but I'd be willing to give this a shot. CR shares its revenues with its partnered companies, so I know for sure that my money will be going to the right parties.
