Just bought my new cpu today, but I'm currently using my old cpu cause the new one still hasn't been installed with an OS yet.so here's the specs:
i7 920 2.6ghz
MSI x58 Pro-E
Sapphire Radeon 5750
HEC Cougar 700w
OCZ 3GB (1GB x 3) Platinum Edition
1 TB western digital caviar green 32mb 7200rpm

I don't like being pedantic but the cpu is this: i7 920 2.6ghz.
Anyways sweet specs that card would love you to run games with three monitors or a high res monitor.

Sorry for making you pedantic.
Thanks man, but due to lack of funds, I won't be able to get 2 more monitors. If I did, would've changed mobo tomy an ASUS p6t deluxe and my video card to a 5870. But, I can't whine cause I finally have a new cpu after 4 years.

How nice of you to necrobump the thread, and even with a post belonging in the sticky "Computer Setup" at the top of the page...
Indeed well done...

320mb Gigabyte 8800GTS
AMD Athlon II x2 285 2,8GHz
4GB RAM
Pretty good comp. Got the 8800 in early 08 and it's been going fine ever since. The only game I've seen it frame dropping with is Metro 2033 but I haven't met anyone who can run that game without frame dropping. Most of all I love how silent the rig is though.

My old gaming computer
XP Home on a Core2 2.4GHz Quad 3GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT
2x 750GB
1x 160GB
free: 2IDE
My new 'for-work-only' computer Assembled from spare parts
Win7 Pro on a PentiumD 3.4GHz 512MB RAM
1x 320GB
1x 100GB
free: 2IDE, 1 SATA
My storage
Win7 Ultimate on an Athlon II x2 240 2.8GHz 2GB RAM
6x 1.5TB
1x 160GB
Ive been thinking of buying a few cheap IDE burners to free up the sata and use those for more hard drives. Not going for external, its more convenient for me this way
I need to get the tower that I used for the storage to replace the one my gaming thing is using too.
Its sad coz theres 2 more free hard drive slots on the storage tower and if Id get a PCI SATA, those from what Ive read only takes upto a max of 500GB drives.

Fap, just about anything I can get a hold of.
I intend to get a second storage but with 2TBs or higher in the future. I dont go with externals just coz I find this setup more reliable and convenient. I actually have a 2TB external that im thinking of dismantling into 2x 1TBs and run them on raid 1 on my work computer, still thinking about it.

Hohohohoho oh no, its not exclusively those its pretty mixed...
ADD: just joking, I dont really collect porn at the moment, maybe when I get more drives later on. Theyre just for anime really. And its not reall 11, coz theyre on RAID 1. Ive had 3 hard drive failures before so this time im not letting it happen to me again - well atleast not lose data

Might as well, it's a pre-brought HP Pavilion
AMD Athlon 64-bit Processor 4000+ 2.60 GHz.
4.00 GB Memory RAM
Windows 7 Home Preminum 64-bit system.
1 Terabyte HardDisk
Samsung SyncMaster 20" 932bw with 1440x900 Resolution.
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS 512MB Video Card.
I use to build computers when I was younger, but I sort of "retired" from building PC's a few years ago when I brought this current PC, though the only thing that's still original is the Motherboard, Processor, power system and case (along with the card reader and DVD player). Everything else I've added to it.

What......?
Let me read that again, you have two Turion X2 laptop processors running in a board with 12GB of RAM, with a Radeon 3200HD (non-mobility?)? I don't think that's.... possible.
Also I have another build in progress:
CPU: 2 Opteron 246 (2.0GHz single core)
MOBO: Tyan Thunder K8SR S2881
RAM: 1GB DDR (2 x 512MB)
GPU: ATI Rage 8mb (haha...)
Yeah, you guessed right, it's a server. All I need are some inexpensive CPU heatsinks and I will have a working server computer.... if it fits in the case I have.
You can get one too if you really want, the link is right here:

Too bad uses old dated parts, like DDR RAM and single core Opterons.

I do. It's a Custom HP Pavillion dv5. (It's mobility, I actually have 2x8GB ram in there, but 1GB dedicated to the card and for some reason the BIOS wont recognize the rest of the RAM)

I'd feel so dirty if I used unbuffered RAM. :p I totally looked into this for a file/backup DC server, but lack of VT support killed it for me since I was going to run 08R2.
