Dakimakuras anyone?

You know, I always hang it outside with a hanger. Except that I always hang it inside out if required.

YJA is gonna cost you double of what you would have paid. Which hurts a lot.
I got my 2nd Miu off YJA for 16k which after all the fees is still double of what I would have paid.>_

Yeah man, it sucks... I didn't put her link in the right folder. I literally have a folder that is labeled, "Deadline for Late June" (even though, she is mid June but I check every link in that folder every 2 to 3 days or less.) I kept thinking to myself that there was a deadline for 6/15, but the earliest, at least that in that labeled folder was 6/19. And what really makes me even more upset is her finished product; it is just pure win!



Is there an alternative to that? I don't know if you live in an apartment, but I do. :[

Yeah... I found a Miu currently standing at 14k, but I'm sure it is going to go up.

And another thing, I didn't have enough of a bid limit at the time either... -_- I just deposited $50, so I should be getting another 27.5k. I think I should deposit a bit more since I might be pre-ordering three more covers.

I live in apartment as well, and I had no issues for the past 5 years hanging them out to dry.
If you turn the cover inside out, not only would no one would know what the hell it is but it also ensures your covers don't get exposed to to much UV rays which can cause colors on a cover to fade slowly over a long period of time.

5 years?! Do you live on the bottom floor or top floor? I actually flipped it inside out before, and it does sort of show it. >.> Imma need something in front of it to distort vision.

I live on the 3rd floor.
Once my old maid was told by my grandma to wash all my covers in my closet. Without my knowledge.
Imagine my horror when I saw a parade of naked chick hanging outside my house. Luckily nothing major happened.
To be able to see it inside means the material has to be super thin. Anyway, if uyou're like me, I hang my clothing with my covers. So maybe you could cover it with other laundry hanging in front/side of it.

I've done the same thing before, it's always a pain in the ass. Sometimes I miss out on stuff just because there's so much I'm trying to keep track of and I'm not being proactive with it. The absolute worst has to be when you forget that Japan's a day ahead, so you go and try to put an order in on the day it's closing, and find that it's already closed. I know that happened to Kobun just recently (but B&W Store was awesome and opened up the order just for him and closed it again after he got his order in), and it's happened to me a few times. I always try to mark a closing date at least a week before it actually closes, just so I have enough time to get a proxy order in and everything.

Damn, lucky Kobun! You know whats funny? That's what I did to. When I checked the date of the Azusa on the blog; I looked at my date, and it was the 15th. But I went on to the purchase page, and it was closed. Guess what? It was the 16th over there. -_-

Yeah, after I did it the first time or two, I quickly learned to factor in the date over in Japan. D: Granted you probably couldn't get an order in with a proxy in that short of time anyway, which is why I always try to put something in a few days before close, it's still definitely something to keep in mind for sites like B&W Store and Evening Call that you can deal directly with.

Typically, I always order the moment it opens up, so I never have to worry about it again.

Edit: Just got a new pair of covers from hobby search. I never saw this cover being sold at Amiami , it seems it's sold exclusively at Kisshoya and Hobby search only.

I've ordered that cover from Otacute, who seem to stock Kisshoya stuff as well (I'll be getting the towel of that char next month too..). Should be arriving next week some time, as well as a couple of items from the past few months that I kept combining with later stuff.

So my covers came in this morning. My first real ones! =D Didn't wanna take pics since my "haul" is puny compared to you guys': two, the Totori and Ookami ones. Anyways, just feeling the material while opening the bags was one of the greatest things ever. Decided to take a short nap with one and it was bliss. With that, I've taken on another hobby to kill a lot of my money on. xP

Btw,, I'm sure this has been asked a lot, but how to clean these?
EDIT: Went back a page and read that I'd need to hand-wash then air dry. So putting it in the washer and dryer is a no?

So I came across a pretty good blog for the first time today; it has apparently been around for a few years and has a lot of good shots of covers, but it's the first time I remember seeing this specific one myself. Here's the link:

Of particular interest is a fairly good side by side shot of an older NoReal cover, in P80 2WT and 2WR. I think it does a fairly good job of visibly showing the differences between the materials:

The 2WR has a visibly darker color and I personally think it's a lot clearer and detailed. Also if you look near the bottom, it's a lot easier to see the grain I always mention of P80 2WT. I still personally love the feel of P80's 2WT, but I'm definitely of the mind that their roika is superior for image quality (excluding the one time Anko used the new roika that had the wrinkle problem, but the actual image was still really good.)

I don't have too much info on that, but from previous questions that I have asked; it is not recommended since the material is so delicate.
