No text on the back of the Strike Witches pad makes me lean towards bootleg, but there is no way I can say for sure. The five or so I own have all come in the box format as seen with the Sonico pad, but as I said, I could see the second form used if it were licensed in the US or something. But the absolute lack of text on the packaging (other than the Strike Witches) is a bit strange. Whoops! My bad! The Strike Witches is from Funimation but made in China. Charlotte's boobs is so damn stiff compared to Sonico though.
Eh, then it could just be a different material used. I have no idea and I don't really think there's anyway to tell short of comparing it to a pad purchased directly from Funimation.
The only thing that really bugs me about this is, how can it be so stiff?! I thought it was suppose to be squishy so your wrist can rest on it.

You have a lot to learn about the world of dakimakura covers, my friend. ^^
There are primarily three types of dakimakura covers you could buy:
1. Bootlegs - This should be fairly obvious; it's knock offs that are using other people's work. Generally speaking, any dakimakura cover in the $30-70 range is a bootleg (though there are legit covers in that range, and bootlegs outside of it.) The quality is usually greatly inferior to the quality of the other two categories.
2. "Company" dakimakura covers - Generally speaking, these are the covers that you can find on big name sites like Hobby Search and AmiAmi. They use official art from their source series, and unless the source is an eroge/hentai, they're usually on the tamer side of things when it comes to nudity. Prices for these usually range from 8000-11000 yen.
3. "Circle" dakimakura covers - I'm sure you seen/read some doujinshi (if not, just check the front page of Fakku.) All doujinshi are done by collections of individual artists known as "circles". The dakimakura scene is much the same; there are probably hundreds of different circles that do dakimakura covers. The webpage you found, Dakemakura, is one such circle (Dakemakura is actually the circle name.) And the Homura you linked was also done by a circle, specifically AnkoKoubou (ã‚ã‚“ã“工房) and they actually happen to be one of my favorite circles (I own that Homura myself, as well as maybe 20 of their other covers.) Prices for circle works generally range from 10000 yen to 15000 yen.
If you really wanted that Homura, she's available on YJA for 12000 yen buyout. However, the material is 2-Way Roika and it had a pretty bad wrinkle problem, but it could be ironed out easily enough apparently (the material in the pictures you linked is the 2-Way Roika, so you can see what you'd be getting.) You'd also need to use a proxy to order it, so it would probably cost you around $180-200 to order it.
There are actually a good number of circles that are willing to ship internationally, though (copy/paste from a list I posted previously):
Circle sites that ship internationally
Now we're moving onto strictly circle stuff, and it becomes a tad harder to navigate, but it can still be done without any added cost or too much hassle. As a warning, if you haven't realized this already, most circle covers tend to be on the more explicit side of things.
Black and White Store - A production company/collection of circles (I'm not 100% sure of the relationship, honestly) that's location in Taiwan. They put out a lot of high quality covers, have a fairly decent English system set up, and include shipping in the total price. This is probably one of the better deals, if you find a cover that you like, given that the average circle cover is in the 13000 yen range and EMS shipping for one is about 1500-2000 yen, which is included in the usual B&W Store price of 13000.
Bon Cool - Bon Cool has garnered a lot of good will with me. They come out with some fairly nice products, but it's the cool promotions and things they do that really stand out. I've ordered from them two or three times. The first time, they included a double of one of their covers I ordered, as omake. The second time was with a promotion that got me 40% off one of their covers. The third time didn't yield anything special, but it isn't something you should ever expect, and it's cool that they've done what they have. If you check out their site, make sure you don't miss the language options in the top right hand corner to switch to English/preferred language.
Evening Call - I love this circle; I've been following them since their 4th cover came out (they're now in the 130s) and they recently started accepting international orders. The downside is that it seems to be an afterthought, so the accessibility if you don't speak Japanese is minimal.
Dakemakura - I've never ordered from them personally, but they're apparently willing to ship internationally according to their FAQ. The main thing of note about this circle is the vast number of covers they've done, most of which are still available for order now. If you went through them all, I'd imagine you'd probably find something you like.
W-Canvas - I'm including this site as a bit of an afterthought. They have a banner at the top that says they will ship internationally, but I've never ordered from them myself. They're not a circle, but a consignment shop, similar to Toranoana. They carry circle covers, usually at a price 5-10% higher than what you'd pay if you ordered directly from the circle. I know you can find both Evening Call and Dakemakura covers on there, as well as a ton of circles that don't ship internationally. If you can successfully contact them, and order covers from circles that don't ship internationally, it would probably be the cheapest way to acquire their covers. Update: They actually do have a fairly limited English shop set up now, but if you email them items you'd like added to it, apparently they will.
Hmm, ZZ, maybe you should edit your first post in the thread to include information like this, as well as where to buy actual pillows etc.. so that new people to the thread can find it easily and not all need to ask similar questions right off the bat. Though maybe not as they may not even post in the thread at all then ;(

Eh, it doesn't hurt to have more information in the OP; I'd imagine we'd still end up getting some new comers in here to either ask questions or post some content. I'd imagine a lot of people just come to the newest post as is, and if they start asking questions that are easily answered with a previous post, it's nice to know exactly where to direct them to (versus digging up a post on page 80 or whatever.)
On another note, some new covers were just added to Mandarake. A nice HOP original, and a variation of the Mayoi I have from the circle that uses absolutely terrible material.

Did you end up picking it up? But yeah, I actually really like the art of the one I have, but the material is god awful. I think I ended up paying something ridiculous like 15k for it too (there were auctions of it for ~30k, and the actual retail price was like 7.8k, I think -_-) If the material were 2W, smooth knit, or even SK Suede, the price would have been absolutely worth it. But the material really was that bad, and that's why I dissuaded that one guy from ever posting here again... if he had a bootleg of the Louise cover (which was also for sale :o) he definitely would have been better off than having the official product.
Btw, were you still interested in Natsuru? :P

Nah wasn't me who picked up Mayoi, I'm more of a Nadeko / Karen fan from bakemonogatari characters. Mmm, as for Natsuru I think I'll pass, I like it but there's other preorders that my money should be prioritized for really. Also comiket coming up soonish to save for too.

I know what you mean, but still gave me a good chuckle. That's also why I couldn't pick up SATsurupettan's Menace cover. Ah, what have our lives become?

Oh well, I tried. :P
Finally got that Tachibana I ordered from Mandarake; it was indeed the event limited bondage version, but it's a lot weaker than their other event limited covers have been. The only real differences I see are the eyes and the bondage strap, but I could be missing something. Still a really nice cover, and I paid about what I would have paid picking up one of the other versions on YJA, so I can't complain.

Pretty damn off topic, but who here owns an oppai mouse pad? I have a few.
Are there like bootlegs for these? Unless I'm just classifying it under bootleg because of the damn stiff ass "silicon."
I happen to own a small handful as well.

The one I'm using currently.

On topic, there do exist bootlegs for Oppai mousepads, and they are ridiculously abundant on ebay and even YJA. Some of the real goods happen to have very stiff silicon gel as well. So It's not plausible to judge them as fake just because it's stiff.
The worst thing is that some authentic pads can have bootlegs issues.
This T2 mousepad, I originally had 2 one which you see here on display and the other which I used, wasn't long before it broke open and the gel came out, had to chuck it away.

Man, I guess it's my luck I couldn't grabbed it. Even though I have 2 copies of the normal event limited edition, sucks I couldn't get this one to complete the set. Since I have the web order version as well.
Well, I grabbed 3 other covers from Mandarake (which I just received as well )instead which was a steal, so I'm not complaining too much.

Spoiler:
Wow man! Nice collection you have there. Where did you get these off of? How can you differentiate between a legit and a bootleg one? I'm really lovin' the current one you are using; how does her boobs feel?

The cover I picked up @ AX 2012.

I used to buy them off hobby search , subsequently AmiAmi.I got tired of normal ones and only collected ero pads. Which is few in numbers in comparison to Dakis anyway.
The problem is there is no real way to compare unless you have a bootleg and the original.
I have few authentic mousepads made from, China(typical), Taiwan and some even unlisted like my Yoko mousepad from Bandai.
The problem is that even authentic ones can have horrible print which I learned from my Nobleworks mousepad. The packaging was just your typical plastic cover.
But some of the signs for authentic ones is that they always have their company details on the packaging usually with an Email as well. However that does not apply to doujin Mousepads of course.
Oh and I love the cover you got. Been a sucker for chicks with a nice beauty mark.

Spoiler:
Ahh, I see. Well that sucks... But that's okay, I'm going to continue buying oppai pads anyway. Of course, the nice looking ones! I wanna start collecting ero pads as well. The market for oppai pads are pretty low, no?
Next pad for purchase:

And thanks! That's exactly why I bought this cover instead of the other two MangaGamer had up for sale.

My Mandarake stuff.

Dunno about you Willow, But I think she reeks of awesomeness.Too bad taking shots from my shitty S3 in conjunction with my lousy photography skills. proves to be shitty as usual. I can try to get better face shots if you need to see.

That Drau-Riot one is actually really nice. Wasn't really interested in the most recent one that close out, and the red head, but I like that one a lot and I almost certainly will order the one available for preorder now. On another note, I have mixed feelings about the new Lilith covers. I really wish they were more explicit, but they're both quite good. Will probably pass on the second one, but I can't resist the first; she fits into practically every fetish I have. Long purple hair, dark eyes, tanned skin, small boobs, etc..

Speaking of oppai mousepads, I have around 16 of them not including my doubles. I usually get two if I know I'm going to use one so I can keep one unused. I slowed my purchases of them, but I really do enjoy collecting them. :)
If I had to list them, of the top of my head:
- Satellizer x2
- Satellizer (the one that came with a manga volume)
- Rias Gremory x2
- Saeko Busujima x2
- Kurumu v1
- Kurumu v2
- Lucy, Erza and Juvia from Fairy Tail
- Robin, Nami and Boa from One Piece
- Neliel, Yoruichi from Bleach
I think that's all of them. I just got an alert that my dakimakura arrived at customs so they should arrive tomorrow. I'll take photos of them and also my oppai mousepads at the same time. :)

Funny... I told myself to lay off the dakimakura buying because I need to save up money, but now I'm ending up buying Yukikaze(looked up her name, lol). Though I have had the CG set since its' release.
Forgot the circle for this dakimakura but man they are releasing quite a few nice looking ones.

Forgot the circle for this dakimakura but man they are releasing quite a few nice looking ones.

Yeah, just make sure you order directly from the Lilith shop; I'm pretty sure they're the only ones offering the poster bonus (which definitely makes up for the lack of explicitness of the cover.) I know how you feel... I really can't afford anything at this point, but there are just so many good covers coming out. T_T
