Dakimakuras anyone?

Anyone have recommendations on where someone can find some good quality dakis (and throw pillows) and oppai mousepads?

For dakimakura covers, I'd recommend sites that ship to foreigners without the need of a proxy:

AmiAmi has a fairly good selection of company covers these days.

For 3D pads, I can't really help too much, but AmiAmi/Hobby Search would probably be the places I'd look (it's where I've purchased all of mine in the past.)

If it's actual pillows you need, and not the covers, the go to recommendation (if you're in the US) seems to be Royalpillow; if you call them up, they'll do custom sizes and they're reasonably priced.

No worries. ^^ Of course, there are a ton more options, but that's definitely a good starter list; the circles that ship internationally actually put out some of my favorite works overall. If there's a particular character you're interested in, that can be looked up pretty easily as well.

Yeah, dakimakura covers are the tough part; there are a ton of circles that produce dakimakura covers, and they're usually only available for a limited time via preorder - after that, you need to pick them up through secondary means like Mandarake or Yahoo Japanese Auctions, but they can be even more expensive than they already are. If you're still interested, this link is a general catch all for Touhou characters; some 100+ pages (each with 3-4 covers on it), and I'm sure there are probably quite a few that were missed:

There are a lot of details, but I'd recommend going through (or entering the name of a specific character in the search box at the top right of the page) and seeing if there are any particular ones you like. From there, I could probably tell you if it's still available for order, or what you could expect to pay on the secondhand market (if you could find it.) The first few pages there are the most likely to still be available for preorder.

Yeah, you don't need to worry too much about that now; the main thing to look for is particular covers. Scroll down through the images, and at the bottom of the page, you see a ton of numbers that go up to 143. That's the number of pages there are for Touhou characters - not all of them have dakimakura covers on them, as some detail specific events related to Touhou, but if you were to go through all the pages one by one, you'd find a ton of pictures of Touhou covers.

Then at the top of the page in the right hand corner, there's a search bar that's kind of hidden. You can paste (in Japanese) the name of a character or series (that's why I did to generate the page - I pasted in Touhou) and it will bring up all relevant entries.

Most of us here have become pretty good at navigating the page/figuring out what everything means, so if you find a particular cover you like, we can point you in the right direction and tell you what everything means.

When I copy/paste in チルノ, I got 1 relevant result out of 35. lol.
Is there a way to make it more relevant (i.e. get rid of the ones that aren't actually チルノ)?

Not that I've found, really. You just kind of have to scroll through the pages. :/

And I'm not going to paste them all here, but when I entered in チルノ I got 10 pages of entries. Only went through the first 2-3 pages, but I got a fair number of hits for her.

The good thing is it's still available for order, I'm pretty sure. Dakemakura has around 900-100 different dakimakura covers (including a fairly large Touhou section), most of which are still available for order now.

Looking through the 10 pages seemed to give more than 7 to me though there was some repetition.. Anyways, since Cirno's name is spelt entirely in Hiragana you can actually just put in "cirno" in the search box and get all (or nearly all) the results. The handy thing about this is that it won't return the large amalgamated info posts for events which will have mentioned チルノ (while having no pictures and only links to the other pictureful posts) as for whatever reason searching english only returns posts with pictures and product information because of whatever way they have it set up to map english to hiragana during search.

Note: searching english only works if it's a hiragana name you're searching for, if you search for a kanji name you'll either get no results or only a small subset of all the relevant posts.

I'll be watching all of those shows and more, but then I tend to watch (at least part of) nearly everything each season.

Bit lame clochette had no pics of their new cover afterall, but another Mishio cover is all good anyways and I'm sure I'll be getting it (at the web order) no matter what it looks like given their usual standards.

In addition, you may also be able to find some more mainstream dakimakura covers and 3D mouse pads listed on sites like ToysLogic, Hobby Search, or J-List too.

Haha, I think that was my fault. I don't like talking in other threads from this forum because well, the community is shit. I pretty much found my home for this place.

Oh dude, I'm just playin'. I don't mind at all. You guys are giving me a good heads up on what to watch. I would much rather talk to you and everyone else from this thread over just about every other person I've come across from this community thus far. I've found that some of the "elders" (this thread's founding elders excluded) are complete assholes who don't know how to speak someone unless it involves strict forum rulesets and guidelines. Anything else outside of said guidelines simply (*in nerdy robot virgin voice*) "does not compute." They're probably total shut-ins too. Poor kids.

EDIT: In terms of anime though, I'm so far behind. I literally just started Nisemonogatari last night.
