Traditional, it actually makes the creator feel more special about their work. Instead of taking the "easy way out"

Traditional animations just flat out look better. I guess Computer animations are okay too, but only when they are done right.

Miyazaki has proven that a correct blend of computer and hand animation is very very beautiful and fluid. Same thing with Ghost in the Shell.

The way this is worded is a little wierd, as you can easily animate things using a computer and make them look "traditional".
I'm assuming what you really meant was 3D vs. 2D (I.E. Tangled vs. The Princess and the Frog), and between those two I personally prefer 2D.

No animation feels better to me than little Ponyo riding the waves... So YEAH, traditional all the way. But I hope for the day where something good is done with CG... And with good I don't mean realistic. Realism is overrated, that's what I think. I don't want something realistic, I want something fluid, interesting and refreshing. That kind of stuff that makes you go "AWESOME"... Reality tends to fail at that.
Well, a highly futuristic or fantastic show with realistic CG's, including skin, hair, teeth and the "impossible to do in movies" part would be interesting to watch. I mean, who doesn't like some good explosions and body parts flying around, and good ol' child rape that can't really be portrayed in cinema... And well this is going the wrong way, don't hate me.
But yeah, most of the time, CG have really weird skin and hair... And that's just super awful. But if done right it could be fantastic. Still, nothing beats original and refreshing art, and traditional is overall better at that.

Traditional all the way, for me. Computer is nice sometimes but I just don't like how they either try to emulate reality (which most of the time looks like garbage) or they make things that just flat out look stupid.Gimme hand-drawn cartoons any day.
Cave paintings, Bitch

I say Computer animation because when its done well. its amazing. The biggest problem with 3 dimensional computer animation is that it has to face the uncanny valley and drawn doesnt have that problem as well its on a drawn object so we put different standards on it.
@Foreground. animation-wise it is amazing. but one the boobs are too damn oversized, the head is a bit too small and the last and greatest problem is that when you try to make a 3d cartoonish cel-shaded character (that 90% of the ppl are used to)into 3d, it creates a feeling of disjointedness as it is very rarely seen. Like seeing a bull on a plane or like seeing a guy walk around with pink underwear.
On a sidenote, very few animators use hand-drawn animation much anymore due to the sheer amount of work required, they use hand-drawn concept sketches, yes. But when they truly animate characters, they use 3d programs due to flexibility and there is less amount of work required. Most animes are actually 3d animated but they can be colored to seem like 2d objects.

agreed, Traditional is great. Computer has quite alot of fails that try to imitate "real" too much which turns it into a freak show.Cartoonetwork is a freak show.
Have you seen this "hyper-realistic vocaloid video? It's fucking freaky.
this video is really weird indeed, but if they do it right like that...recent takken movie it is good and amazing, but in terms of hentai yeah i prefer traditional ESPECIALLY when it comes to videos

Traditional has touched me in a place I've never been touched before.
Computer animation is pretty good too though.

even though it's hard to admit it,
but nowadays everyone love computerize one better than traditional one.
3D films are a simple example for environmental drawings that are better than hand-draw, and they just can make it like a film, unlike hand-draw.
Simply because simple colouring, countouring, editing, and almost everything....
maybe for now, human movements in 3D is still bad, but I think it can improve.
The best thing about traditional is only because of human talent and effort.
