there are a few of bitcoin "like" operations going on now days. none of them seem to be doing well, mainly do to parties not accepting them or multiple parties being able to agree with the system.

Nope, cuz i didn't start farming before i have to pay more for electricity than i can earn from farming.

Not for today, at least until Bitcoin become mainstream and every online store accept it, i will farming my bitcoin with my Radeon GPU.

IMHO I think the bit coin is great for entrepreneurs, but if I personally ran (or were responsible for running) a business I think it'd be a terrible idea to invest in something so volatile.
I mean you can literally destroy the currency to drive up scarcity, not to mention there isonly a limited number that can be produced. with no induction of additional cuurency to replace the old, 'lost' or 'destroyed' currency would have permanent damaging effects to the stability of the bit coin.
Just my 2 cents..
