Do you want kids
Do you want kids?

I am sure many members on Fakku would like to have their own children someday. However, there are many things to consider before having one.
First and foremost would be the cost of living. Assuming one's income remain constant, would s/he be able to support the entire family? From what I observe at supermarkets, milk powder does not come cheap these days. Don't forget diapers as well as other baby necessities. Education and its corresponding fees would also come into the picture eventually.
That being said, I hope to have children of my own someday. Which also reminds me that I should starting looking for a significant other and furthering my career.

To tell ya guys the truth, I don't want to have any children until I'm sure they will live a happy life. I'm 19 and I don't plan to have any until my late 20's, if I have any. I want to see what kind of world they are inheriting. With the world being like it is, I'm starting to think the future looks bleak for any future children. Then again, having a child is still a wonderful thing, so maybe even then I might decide to have a kid.

my significant other and I have talked about having kids, and though we do want them in the future- that future is well on the horizon at the moment.
I've always wanted to be a mother. I do believe that in time I can assume the role- but not yet. I want to finish university, acquire a job and rack up some savings first- and actually having a home with my partner would be a plus.
-so yes, it'll probably be twelve years before I'm even remotely ready for little 'uns.

In the future yes. Now, no. I'm too immature for my age and I still feel like a kid inside. I'm not ready mentally or financially for a kid. Plus, I haven't found Ms. Right yet. Dating around, seems all the girls I know are just going out to have fun and really aren't looking for commitments at this time, well they don't say this but a lot of what they do seems to communicate this to me. (Clubbing, smoking weed, chilling with other people instead of studying and focusing on their careers).
But maybe in the future. I'd love to have a son to play basketball and practice kendo with. Or a girl who I can be the overprotective father of =P

Although I could live a fulfilled life without having children, I do want the experience of being a parent and I love children.
I guess it's not something I would ever force on myself, but if it happens one day, then I'll let it.
Although I do have those dreams of my three sons and one daughter ;~;
And I have their names picked out...

No, I feel like it should be a crime to bring life into this terrible world.
A life of restrictions and limited possibilities.
I'm so jaded with my own existence, and this realm.

Not for a while. I would like to have some in the future though, but having a kid is quite expensive and I'm not sure I could make it. However, I do like the idea of bonding with my own flesh and blood. Maybe adoption would be nice too. A bit less expensive and less worries about the mother dying or not.

Not everyone is suitable for children. I'd make a horrible role model. Sure, it'll continue our lineage, bloodline, species and whatever else they say, but I'm not letting my vagina stretch out to the size of a watermelon just for something like that to prop up on my lap. I love babies, but I don't want my own.

I said yes and while we were getting all philosophical about the matter I shall let the men of Monty Python explain:Pretty much what they're saying is that children are a blessing. Even if they might make you wanna ring the life out of them at times, at the end of the day you're still gonna love your kids.
...actually, monty python is making fun of the fact that the catholic church is against masturbation. "every sperm is sacred", meaning every time you cum ought to be inside a woman, in order to make children. because the man in the video abides by that rule, he has a thousand fucking kids whom he cannot adequately take care of. it's satire...I have no idea how you came to your conclusion.

There should be a voting option for I don't know yet. Honestly my mom had a kid when I was a pre-teen, and that pretty much made me wear condoms on me all the time. Thing is, kids are a big responsibility, that I am unsure if I can handle. but at the same time, I would love to have a son, or daughter, and teach him/her right from wrong, and have all that cool stuff happen.

I don't actually want kids, but if I end up with some I don't care really. As long as I'll have a son who I can corrupt with my hobbies.

I've always wanted to be a mother, I just know it wouldn't be the smartest idea until I'm more set in my future.
My mother already has two granddaughters from one of my brothers, so she leaves me alone.

Being an elder sister of a 4.5 year old kid. I've personally felt on a different level what it is like to have kids. Seeing my step-mum get quesy and start puking, was not a lovely sight. And then there was the getting fat, child crying throughout the night, endless ATTACHMENT... what happened to alone time? Sure the kid is cute now, but he's going to grow old and be even worse especially during the teenage years. There is also that responsibility factor, I don't think I could stand it. I guess I wouldn't mind bringing up a child, if I could make the perfect being, but the world doesn't work like that. Right now, I don't want to have kids. But if I got pregnant, I wouldn't abort it. I'd have it and take care of my child and never tell him/her that I never wanted it, a bit contradictory I guess?

Of course, I would like to create living creatures in my own image, whom I shall shape according to my specifications. For as long as I am bonded by this mortal body, I will need the assurance that there will at least be some people both willing and capable of carrying out my will upon the world.
These kids, I shall forge their minds to be steadfast and their bodies to be strong. They shall be schooled through the best education money can buy. They shall know the difference between rights and privileges so that they may grow to appreciate their good graces, thus compelling a hardworking nature. They shall grow to love knowledge and to philosophize, so that they may make capable leaders. They shall be bold in their actions and subtle in their intentions so that they can be like the thunderstorm, mysterious yet strikes with clear blinding light.

NO FUCKING WAY!! I have had for as long as I can remember a very severe irrational hatred of children of all ages! I don't care if I have to have a dozen abortions; I am never ever having children. I don't even give a damn if my husband really wants kids; there isn't any force on this earth except insanity that will make me change my mind.
