I've already recommended you the ideal size of resizing them the other time. Just follow what i recommended and it'll be fine i guess

I really don't know, so I'll assume that anyone who has an idea about it, I second that. Go with Mycstea's idea! X-D
And I don't care, or rather, I enjoy that my art is going through the internet, big version or not, and I don't think anyone can make much money out of it anyways, so no problem for me.

I'm posting for Raze, he just went to sleep.
First off the calendar looks awesome, all of you did an amazing job with it. Do you have any blogs/pixiv/deviantart links you want to share when it is released? I'd like to give you all a link on the front page when we release it.
And how do you feel about turning your works into wallpapers as well for when we release the calendar? This is an individual decision, so each of you decide whether you want a wallpaper of the work as well.

Here's the calendar prototype *LINK REMOVED*! (Right-click, Save As. If you didn't contribute to the project, don't bother downloading it; you won't be able to open it.)
This archive is password-protected so only the artists that contributed can access it. Password is the 13th word in the first paragraph in that art direction PM I sent you guys, all lower-case. If you don't have the PM anymore, PM me for the password.
The pdf has all sorts of protection on it, and will pretty much be how the final thing is released. While it's almost impossible to extract the picture files from it, there are probably people out there that can do it. However, I've dumbed down the quality of the picture files, such that they're basically jpeg relics, and definitely not printable. Those of you who have given your consent for wallpaper versions of your submission will have your artwork released separately, dimensions 1600 x 1200. At the moment, I'm basically going to do wallpaper versions of everyone's submission except Mycstea's, holy101's, and kurot's. Let me know as soon as possible if I'm wrong.
Also, some of you haven't responded to me about your blog/pixiv/deviantart links. If I don't get them soon I'll simply not include your name in that second-to-last page.
Let me know if there's anything you guys think should be improved. Unfortunately, due to many reasons, we won't be printing actual copies of the calendar (believe me, I really wanted to). Thanks for all your hard work anyway!

Umm, will the final calendar can only be viewed in Adobe Reader or will there be another program used to view the calendar. One more thing, I think the calendar should be viewed together with the images representing each months.

Merry Christmas everyone!
So, I decided to go the extra mile and put the calendar on the artwork. It looks a lot better for most of them. Some of the artwork wasn't very "calendar-genic" so to speak, so yeah.
I'm intending to put this out on New Year's Eve as a gift to all the FAKKU members. This PDF and wallpaper collection will pretty much be final, so any suggestions should be made ASAP. The images used for the PDF are at 1587 x 1123 at 96dpi (A3 with low resolution), and the PDF is printable, but unextractable.
Same password as last time. If you're happy with it post just so I know you've seen it and like it. This is your work, so it's important you're happy with what I'm doing with it.

The calendar is looking great! I was wondering where my "bonus" version would show up :)
I think putting the actual calendar on the artwork works really well for the electronic release - the numbers seem to fit well enough with the images. I approve of what I see!
If the calendar were to be printed then I think it would have worked better in the first release as people could then written notes cleanly on the days and still enjoy the artwork on the top page when hung. I guess that could be for 2010?
Awesome work and Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas Raze and to you all, I already downloaded the calendar and I have to say I like this one better and putting the artist name on the artwork was a good idea too. Overall the calendar looks awesome. I might try again next year and this time I'll work harder for my artworks to be calendar worthy.

can i download it?or it still have to wait (when it'll finished)
You can, but you won't be able to open it. At this point only the artists who contributed can access the contents.
I've decided to release this on New Year's Eve, not only because it's more appropriate, but also so I can get more of your feedback before this goes out. So far, only three of you got back to me.

Okay, so Mycstea made the suggestion of further reducing the resolution from 96dpi to 72dpi, since that apparently is the global internet standard resolution. This means the images will have dimensions 1191 x 842, down from 1581 x 1123.
I don't really know if I want to do this, however, since 1191 x 842 is really quite low for an artwork calendar (more appropriate for a doujin CG pack perhaps). I do want to give people the option of printing out the calendar if they so wish to, but Mycstea basically has other uses for his artwork and thus doesn't want super high-res versions of his work existing on the internet. This was why I created a protected, non-extractable PDF instead of simply releasing the pages in JPEG format in the first place:
1) The PDF is password-protected, and only I know the password, which is a random jumble of letters, numbers, and symbols and thus is impossible to guess.
2) Even if they do get past the password, they cannot extract the images from the PDF because I've converted the images such that they cannot be extracted without some serious work (ie. the images in the PDF are not in any standard image file format).
3) Okay, so let's say they do manage to get through all that. While 1581 x 1123 is quite high and is definitely printable on, say, A4, there are calendar frames and artist credits on the picture file, and thus they can't really do anything else with the artwork anyway.
I've uploaded a 72dpi version of the release here *LINK REMOVED*. Compare it with the above 96dpi version and lemme know what you think.
Anyway, that being said, only four of you got back to me at all about the calendar at this point. I know it's Christmas and all, but I do hope you guys care enough about this to at least give me the okay; I will not change anything or release a version 2 if you happen to find something you're not happy about after I've released it on New Year's Eve.

Yea, I can't really tell any difference between the two versions either except that the file size for the 72dpi is close to half the size of the 96dpi version.
