[Locked] FAKKU Helpers Wanted

In order to implement a multi tag search I would like to first have all of the manga and doujinshi on the site tagged. Until now it has been up to the uploaders and a select group of users that I chose to do this (gizgal and lazyasschillypepper have each tagged well over 1,000 uploads!)

I would like to recruit more users from the community to tag manga and doujinshi, add descriptions, add alternate download links, and fix errors. Chosen users will be added to the FAKKU Helper group and have it displayed in their profile. I will be carefully selecting users who I think are the most qualified out of the people who show enthusiasm.

If you're interested in helping FAKKU, post in this topic and tell me why I should choose you. But I warn you, this is going to take a lot of time. There are over 4,000 manga left to tag and once it's done I'll probably have new tasks for the FAKKU Helpers to work on. That said tasks like this are a huge help to FAKKU, and significantly improve the site for all of the users.

I usually spend my free time looking at stuff time to time anyways (Even while I'm at work...)
So I don't helping out when its needed.
I think I frequent the site to want to help you guys out.

I want to help even if its a couple of mangas. I mostly read doujins from VG'S. I will help with the spare time i have. I spend most of my day at school and working. After all you need all the help you can get right?

I've always wanted to help the site in some way, if I was ever given the chance. Since I'm not that skilled in web designing yet, upgrading the site's features will have to wait. Now, I have more free time, even when browsing the forums, so I would love to offer my abilities of helping you guys tag the rest of the manga on the site. Just say when! :)

Could there be a formal discussion among old/new helpers about what constitutes what kind of tag?
Even among the few of us (and among uploaders) there have been a few discrepancies in what tag should be applied to what manga.

Once we get more people maybe I'll make a forum exclusively for helpers, and you can discuss it all in there.

I would be interested in assisting with the site


While I've not been overly active as of late, I've been a regular for a majority of Fakku's life. Never part of the core group(s), but always aware of them.

I have been the webmaster at my current place of employment(though it's only through Yahoo), and was in charge of data input & inventory for a few months.
I've been a computer nerd over half my life, a Hentai Addict for 6-7 years, and am well versed in the world of Anime, Manga, and general otakuness.
What more, I believe that tags are very, very useful things, as well as being a service that requires accuracy and consistency.
And hell, everyone occasionally needs a reliable helper... or six.

Plus, I do have quite the good amount of free time daily. Not saying I place a role like this low on the list of priorities, but rather that I'm able to get shit done when it is asked. There is little more aggravating than someone agreeing to do something, only to half ass it, or not do it at all weeks down the line.

So, do let me know if there ends up to be an opening

Try asking the current helpers for some recommendations? Then you can ask and review that person if he/she wants to help?

I probably can't do the ones like giving links because I'm not that good at locating them, but if it's tagging, I can do that for sure.

How passionate? I'm creating an eroge! Does that not speak for itself? I've given up so much time from school for the sake of hentai. I want to help tag some doujins while at it! :P

Why should you choose me besides for my passion? Well, I believe it takes a lot of effort and organization to create an eroge. In doing so, I have experience in working with a team. Teamwork is kind of rare now days, y'know?

Another reason you should let me on the team is because of the bunch of free time I have. Every night I read doujins, so I will be very able to put out a satisfying amount of work.

In short, you should let me join because I am capable, and because I am serious.

I would like to help out, I get about 6 hours of free time per day after college, I also own a website and am a moderator on 2 other website, one has over 30K weekly users (PM for details). I still have loads of time to spend though, and if you need moderation help just let me know, I've got years of forum moderation experience to share. If anyone needs help I'll be there because I spend my time helping others out and I never ask anything for it. Also don't get fooled by my post count, I spend my time browsing the doujins.

I would love to help, while I'm pretty illiterate as to downloads and the such I'm sure it'll be more of a learning process than not, as for fixing problems and tagging I don't suppose those can be that hard,just time constraining which shouldn't be that much of a problem as I've been on fakku for atleast a hour every day for the last year now.

i wouldnt mind helping at all, my whole day basically consists of free time. i really have no experience in terms of writing coding for websites, but id be willing and able to tag if you'll have me....

I would love to help you guys tag whats left. Lets see why should you pick me... as of right now my free time is from when I get up to when I go to sleep. So I have all the time in the world to help. But I don't know much so I think I could only help tag. I love this sight and I visit at least 3 times a day to read what ever i can.

Edit: I forgot to add that I can't spell to save my life. Also have grammar and reading problems just thought you should know that.

I browse through a lot of doujins and read them carefully. Plus I like correcting wrongly tagged doujins because they urk me. I spend a lot of time lurking fakku anyways and browse through obscure doujins~ (this feels like soo much like an job interview -_- on a porn site!)

Has some experience in web design and good at writing summaries.

Not so much adding links as checking off the correct tags from the set list, and giving a brief (non-spoiler-y, well written and spelled/grammar-checked) description to each manga.

And if the manga has no author (aka under author name "Unknown"), you can also help by doing research to find out who to attribute it to.

I would like to help make the site better, simple as that.

Id love to help tagging because I'm always looking for things through tags and think it would be great to help. I'm always going in the request section to try and help people, but to no avail, so I would be really happy at being able to help the site. After all, it has brought me very much hapiness. I come here pretty much everyday for about 1-3 hours. Oh ya, and I've won an award in English in high* school :)
