First forum experiences

So a topic on MAL I was reading earlier today made me think, do you guys (and gals of course) remember your first forum experience?
Mine was back in 2002 when I joined Gametalk, which was one of the popular gaming forums at the time. I was a little brat too. Very opinionated and hot-headed. While I'm still pretty opinionated, I like to think that I know when my opinion is warranted and when it isn't. Nevertheless I think I manage to keep my cool most of the time now.
I actually feel kind of bad about it. I was fairly good friends with one of the popular moderators on GT - Val. I kept trying to be a mod of random boards because I was simply a power-hungry teenager who wanted to control a board. Problem is I was perfectly fine with deceiving her. A handful of people on GT knew what an asshole I was, and how power-hungry I was, but most thought I was an innocent (albeit not moderator material) member. Val encouraged me to never give up, but eventually I did. I got sick of making no ground as being a moderator, so I eventually left and started my own forum using Proboards.
Ah... Proboards. Surely some of you remember those good ol' days? Anyway, I could keep going, but I just thought it would be interesting for people to share their first forum experience, and perhaps some nice anecdotes as well.

Mine was about 98, if memory doesn't fail me. It was "Sobresites", a brazilian forum, anime related.
It was a really fine comunity, we held regular IRL meetings and all, but drama ruined it all.

My first real forum experience was... 2002?
I was a member of an RM2K site (for people that don't know, RM2K is an RPG developing kit). How nostalgic to think about that again, haha.

Mine was about 2007 , kinda new to forum-talk, but i like it very much .. because i can met some people who have intelligent thinking by his/her post
First i go to local forum .. and i am mod there
at first, it was funny and interesting .. but time to time .. number of Junkers increasing significantly .. since i cannot take it anymore, i rage-quit ..
Second, i go into SHHeaven ..
it's Silent Hill Forum Games .. the only place i really got myself into .. it was fun .. rarely see junker there .. and there are a lot of intelligent people
as time flows again ... forum running out of topics .. and it looks pretty dead .. so i search for another alternative place to talk until it goes revived ..
and,
Third, Fakku
and i still here

2001, GameFAQs.
Man, I started out on the worst board in the internet. The sad thing I that I perfectly fit there back in the day. I also remember joining a May/Haruka fan club forum. The forum was small (about 10-15 active users) but it was a pretty awesome place at that time.

I've been to so many forums, and lasted so little in each of them, that I just cant quite remember which was the first one. Then again I was never really that interested in forums until recently...

Remember me?
The Halo forum on Bungie.net. AKA, the most hostile forum in the world.
It made me think all forums were full of ass-holes.
I soon learned after expanding my horizons, that this wasn't true.
However, for FAKKU.....

I was in the RO scene for a while. I can't remember which RO server, maybe Anima. Anyway I've posted a little about technical help being a newbie to the internet and all.
And then I found this place.
And then I found this place.

I used to go to FLCLW forum it was a very small community but it was brilliant. I loved it. But people grew up.Went to college, commited suicide.
Forkheads was good but forum died heavily.
I seem to be lurking mainly on fakku only staying in about 2 sections of the forums and I don't really know anyone

Curious and Wondering
My first forums were mostly J-music sites: bww2, AnimeOST.Net (closed as well), FinalEquinox (started by a good friend of mine, but ended up short of activity), AznMp3, et.c. Come to think of it, the only J-music sites I joined and still stayed online was JpopSuki and Bww2. I also was active with my university's student forums, and my ol' highschool forum boards.
Most of my early forum experiences were noob-ish since I was still getting used to forum activity on the 'net (I was still blogging most way back then, and doodling with HTML). Spam here, spam there to get enough credits to view direct download links on some of the forums I were staying in. Eventually I was contributing much more than I intended, and kept on until 2008, where I ended up dropping some (and finding some spiraling out of control and getting warning messages from "concerned media groups").

My first forum experience is with FAkku, it was a rough start though.
noobish actions
-Uploaded a "full CG" set to the image section without knowing anything
-I noobishly lectured jonsmith (or was it david) to be grateful for food, eventhough this doesn't have any relation to the food thread.
-got me some random - reps
-got a "flame war" with from some guy who was named shadow (or something) for saying that the "song sounds weird"
ahh nostalgic times now I can laugh it back.

I remember mine...
Back in 1999 I joined GameFAQs. I was always in the Harvest Moon 64 Forums till about 2001 I left and went to 2 normal website forums. One was a Chrono Trigger website forum (which is closed now) and the second one was a Harvest Moon website forum (which to my surprise is still open). I remember in the Chrono Trigger one I acted like a total n00b and left till 3 years later when I came back due to one member I still kept in contact with kept asking me to come back.

Probably Neopets, lawl! Moved on up after that. Gaia, Deviantart, a forum for Pinky:st dolls, Akiba Online, and a bunch of others...

Aha similar to me.
My first forum experience was also with Fakku and it started rough. I was being a noob and kinda had a argument with a bunch of people like Waar. And then Harmonian came and took all the negative attention I was getting.
