2004; drafted into a fairly large, fairly old gaming clan by friends. Eventually became a mod, led a division and became an admin before it collapsed a year or so ago. Just started a new project with some of the old crowd.

Oh gee.
Neopets probably. Far as I can remember.
I don't do forums often as I should. I frequent a few since those days but I don't think I've (sadly) been as serious as the good ol' days of retarded neo-flame-wars.

It was a in 2007 I think, I was doing my studies via correspondence courses (don't know it it's the right expression) and there was a "forum" for each class. It was pretty nice, but once the year ended, the forum was closed. And then, 3 years later, Fakku! :)

Mine was probably gaia..or some estranged sailor moon fan club haha
but then I was on 4chan, then I was on reiayanami.net and still hang around there..but its more imageboard than discussion but you can get lucky...
but my ex and my current crush are enamored and one of them mods this forum called umbilical blisters/ TLDR and its supposed to be filled with all sorts of crazy interesting people and things but truth be told im hesitant to join just because A) my ex is on there B) I don't know if ill really fit in ...ha ha
But Fakku...Its awesome here. I like it because theirs actually a pretty wide array of users and new people coming in and ... you get what you want here haha

I started in the worse place period. It was a myspace anime group or was it several anime groups back in 2007... anyways members were always leaving after a couple of months. It was mostly spam and flaming (trolling). After the fall of myspace I stuck with fakku since then.

Mine was posting in the wrong section on how to use the avatar system when you had to have it a certain pixel height and width. I asked in IB i believe. Then tegumi said some something like use the right pixels and I called her a bitch...Jacob said i was bad. I then became a regular.

Hmnn...I was in a forum in seto-kaiba.com (it's nonexistent now) back in 2003(?) and got banned several times . . . I was a kid, okay :p
Well, learned my mistakes as I tried out the other forums although most of the time, I'd be lurking. Haven't been in many forums these past several years since I was too busy.

My first forum experience is at the beginning at 2010 when I joined a local forum.
Because of too much spammers and trolls harassing new members, I quit the damn forum shortly after.

A ray of Tsunlight.
Overclock.net, a computer forum, competes in the folding@home and all of that jazz.
Think I joined 2006 (I avoided forums till then) Still go there now and again.
Sadly I've seen a general decline over the past few years. Too many cocky little shits that think they know everything. (Think the age limit is like 13 or something)
I've attempted to improve upon how I act as compared to then, I can't say I was much better at the time then the rabble there now.
It's still a great forum for computer news and help on issues and stuff like that. Custom cases and all that, as there are modders that you can buy stuff from if you wish.

The Aircraft Resource Center (place for airplane model hobbysists). And I promptly made an ass of myself extolling how horrendously 'Stealth' sucked balls and said the US Military doesn't care about casualties (in response to JessBiel's character) in a forum where about 1/2 the members were vets.
Not good.

My first forum experience was on 4chan... I know, its a terrible place to start.
Anyway, I had been on /b/ for about a week, and I saw a thread that was apparently about cats. (/b/ loves cats.) So I made my post, replying to something another /b/ro said. Then, out of nowhere, someone replied to my post shouting nigga in CAPS LOCK and raging about how "Them niggers and their wide-ass noses are sucking up all the white man's air."
I was shocked and confused, having only been on the forums for a week. I remember not going back to /b/ for another month after that.

Do we count 4chan as a forum? It's non-traditional, but hmmm...
I was such a goodie-two shoes when I started 4chan, responding to trolls and racists left and right.
I had a plan to "reform" them... BAHAHAHA.
Eventually I gave in.
