I think it was rice and I would help my grandmother to prepare traditional meals (Syria). But I'm really clumsy when it comes to the "hot" part of the meal...usually it burns...

Migas. The Tex-Mex style, not Spanish. Basically eggs mixed with strips of corn tortillas, chorizo, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and cheese.
