Have you had your wisdom teeth removed?

I'm a mutant with 9 incisors and only 2 wisdom teeth. They're on my lower teeth and apparently there'll be enough room for them.

No, but I probably should have them removed. I had problems with one of them a few months ago. I didn't have dental insurance at the time so there was nothing I could do about it. Thankfully, after a few days the pain went away with excessive use of Orajel.

I had mine removed about a month ago. They were just peeking out so they got to dig them all out. I was knocked out for it(Which I loved). It hurt afterwords for about 2 weeks and I was given lortab for the pain which did a pretty good job making the pain tolerable.

Wow, based of some of the replies, maybe I shouldn't have asked haha. Few people seem to not be looking forward to having them removed, or this thread just brought up bad memories. Well either way, I am glad I got to know more info about my fellow Fakku members.

I just checked now and saw that two wisdom teeth are starting to grow~ XD The other one is hurting. >///> I don't know if I will have them removed but if they do not cause me any problem then I will let them be.

Urgh...ever since I found out about them as a kid I've been petrified about them....still haven't appeared yet, I'm hoping i'm from an alternate universe where humans don't have wisdom teeth.
I hope I'm knocked out during it though, will make me a million times more calm.

I got all 4 of them out when I was in my Junior year of High School. I remember that I had to eat with my front teeth only for a while. They were pushing on teeth towards the front. I don't remember much about it but I got out of gym for 3 weeks due to it.

Nope, they're there though, I can feel them.
They wanted to remove them, but they're not bothering me. So until they do, they're staying right where they are.

Got my bottom two wisdom teeth yanked out of my mouth. That stuff hurt, even with pain killers. It took them 2 hours to take just one of my wisdom tooth, and by then the pain killer was running out, so I was starting to feel it. I asked for more, but they said they were low on it, so they only gave me half of the injection, it took another 1 1/2 to get the other one out. Hurt like a mother.
My jaw was sore for having my mouth open like that for 3 and half hours and the pain of removing it was really unbearable.
Waiting for me to get the top two removed. That's going to be great... >.>

I don't know for sure, but I believe that if you wait until they start causing discomfort, removing them will be more painful and potentially dangerous. Not to mention they will start to make your smile crooked.

I have a huge mouth (literally, not figuratively) so my wisdom teeth don't bother me at all. Still have all four.

All of mine are in but at least two are coming out soon as I make the appt. Upper right is pushing 2nd molar out of place and thusly affecting jaw-closure alignment. Lower-right is partially-erupted and buried in gum. Lower-left is fine and mostly exposed. Upper left is coming in straight and might erupt properly.
Going to have the right two taken out, and after recovery have the left two done. Will try under nitrous, hopefully it doesn't make me paranoid like it does my mother.

I got my bottom wisdom teeth pulled out. So I’m going to go through hell twice. My dentist refused to give me sleeping gas because her friend (who specializes in sleeping gas) did it to his son (to get his wisdom teeth out) and the kid never woke up/died. He killed his own son. When I got my wisdom teeth pulled out I was terrified! I rarely go to the dentist so I was not mentally prepared for it. My dentist had trouble getting both teeth out and had to break them up. The worst part was that I felt it so she had to give me 8(Needle in the mouth) shots of local anesthesia. She told me that she had never given so many before to someone of my size/age. The part afterwards was worse though because I was really numb for the rest of the day and it was hard to eat. Afterwards (like everyone else) I had chipmunk cheeks that were green/bluish yellow for several weeks. God I can’t wait to do it again!!!
****Advice: get it DONE as soon as possible! Teeth are like trees! The longer you wait the bigger the roots, the more difficult it is to rip them out!

No I have not. I have had a tooth removed though and that's not exactly the most fun experience ever.
