It was pretty entertaining, although I felt like it was a tad bit too long.
There were just several less important scenes that felt pointless or out of place.
Overall I enjoyed it, but wasn't amazing.

Approach it with the a sort of nostalgic glee and you'll be alright.

Me gues the main charackter missed some personality like to be funny or mentaly broken in a way u believe it and the black guy just without reason came to him with the fact that he needs him. Was long but could need more side story.
Only thing except the robots that was good was the fight with the azian girl.

Personally the movie really isn't my thing from what I've heard though the fight scences where good but the story was kinda weak I might see it when it gets a DVD

It looks like a mixture of Transformers with Power Rangers. A creature or creatures attack humanity and try to wipe out all human kind. Then at some point a few "special people" come along with a gigantic Robot or Mecha and saves the planet from destruction. Anyone find that a little similar?

It was okay. It wasn't great because there were some rather predictable parts that lowered the quality of the movie for me. But on the bright side, giant robots fighting giant monsters is a fun thing to watch!
Edit: Yes, it seems Power Ranger-esque because Deltoro said he wanted it to be possible for this to be made like the old days with people in costumes.

I hear the movie was GOOD. Not FANTASITIC, but GOOD. SO if it IS a good movie, we're one step closer to getting a good Neon Genesis Evangelion movie in Real life.

Could of fleshed out more about the invaders.
Without giving too much away, it annoyed me that it took so very long; timeline wise, to do what they did with the brain.

It seems decent, though I don't really have much interest in it, or any other movies that have come out in the past year.

but if you see this movie you will also know that we are close Evangelion, Gundams, and damned well close to Mass Effect. Cuz those tech suits are pretty freakin close. Also with that new movie Elysium coming out. I have absolutely no doubt.[/color]

I really enjoyed it. I mean this is the great stuff I remember turned into a live action movie. Giant monsters attacking and of course humanity builds giant mechs to deal with them :).
I thought the action was good. For a movie like that, the action really does make or break the film and it was well done here. You could actually see what was going on, see the massive hits on both sides.
Was just a fun movie. Didn't think the actors or dialogue was anything special, but they didn't bring it down for me and that's good enough. Have watched a lot of mech anime, power rangers growing up, etc. So from that perspective I thought it was well done and wish it had gotten better numbers in NA.
