In my opinion it's the best when you are yourself.
Don't think about impressing her.
Only be yourself. Nobody has to change for someone else. That's not worth it. That thinking is so stupid...don't lower yourself with such an act.
You want to be accepted as who you are not who you can be.
I like it when I can see the cards on the desk.
When I can see it clearly what the person in front of me has in mind.

As a female (which may totally ruin any chances at sounding helpful?), uh, seriously? What all the rational-sounding people here are saying is true. Conversations, talking about each other's interests, and generally being respectful of her (and if she's not respectful of you in turn, FIND ANOTHER CHICK TO DATE), etc. It's great if you guys can run around and do things that make each other laugh, but it depends on the individuals what kind of ways will impress women.
I've been asked out/wanted by a bunch of girls and all I do is offer respect and fun hours together with talking or dorking around on video games, etc. So I think women just want someone they can feel comfortable around...but I think that's true of both genders in general. =\

While I am no master of relationships, ever since I started drinking I have realised a couple of things about myself. Whether these apply to you is another problem.
1. The only reason I was too scared to ask girls out is because of personal inhibition.
2. Most girls are actually as desperate as guys are.
3. A little bit of confidence goes a long way. Imagine what a lot of confidence will do. So what if she's not impressed? Then brush it off as a joke or something.
4. Recall that episode of 'to catch a predator': 'I'm not guilty man. Do I look like I need 14 year old girls? I've got all kinds of girls etc.' (or something like that). Make it look like you don't need her specifically.
5. If all fails then go to a strip bar.
I think I've gone off the question a bit. Although I must say 1 to 4 have served me well for the past couple of months. I've already got 2 dates with 2 different girls.

I hate to point out, the likely hood of people on here being ALL virgins is less than 0% (lolme) i'd say at least 25% are non-virgins, if not closer to 40%. Also, you don't have to be a non-virgin to be pro with tha wimminz. When I was a virgin (even now) I was/am good at giving relationship advice. Helped lots of people out.. even a random on omegle believe it or not. Lolme.

Be nice to her and respect her.
Cheesy advice but guys that are actually nice (and not emotionally manipulative) are rare these days. A fast way to gain points is doing something thoughtful for her that she didn't ask you to do. It shows that you were thinking of her and the nice gesture will make her open up to you more.

In a word Confidence. Make it a point that your proud of who you are, if you come off as a 'bit' (not too much) of a dick it doesn't matter. I totally agree with Knight on this one. FROM A WOMAN'S PERSPECTIVE: This is what I look for:
1. Confidence
2. Good hygiene (body and dental)
3. Honesty
4. Individuality (cool hobby, pet, volunteerism, show you're not just a bump on a log w/ nothing to contribute)
5. Complimentary (show the girl you like her and notice special things about her. Girls like lots of communication in this arena. The more confident she is in your feelings, the more likely you are to win points with her. WARNING- don't be insincere or obvious about trying to get in her pants; It will backfire.)
6. Plan dates and show good manners. Don't just invite her to hang or loiter around her house. Girls like to go places and do things.

3. good hygiene (shows you care what she thinks for one thing)
4. ability to make her smile/laugh (this will get you pretty far, but don't force yourself to be funny if you're not. If you can connect with her then you'll probably see a few smiles anyways.)
