How was work?

Ya, found out today they didn't finish closing till after 2 am because she sent me home. When I went in today I had to sign a card saying I received a verbal warning. She's just mad in 6 months I'll be her boss and shes doing whatever she can to stop it.

Our courier decided to merge a tiny pallet we had booked in with a gigantic one without telling us, so we had 3 large pallets of stock delivered rather than 2 large and 1 tiny. The third one being tiny was why it was booked in, so we were a tad livid that it was much larger than it should have been.

This is on top of the stock we've had in since Friday which was meant to be put out on the weekend but it wasn't, so that was fun. By the time I'd finished my shift we managed to get 2 pallets in and were up to our eyeballs in it.

Well I was retched from my old store and transfered to a store with a disaster area for a back room (I work management btw). A week later the full time was fired and we got another one transfered over. We are slowly getting caught up. Not to mention that our store manager is new and so both of us assistant managers are training her on how to handle the store, but our DM is visiting with his trainees every week or two to check on the store

I was so busy at work (getting in a delivery, pricing everything up, getting cardboard recycling bins for said delivery, container runs, getting stuff out, answering Bell Rings by those on the till etc.) that I didn't get my 15 minute break, but everyone else above 6 hours got their breaks. Every time I was about to go for one someone else went on theirs or time constraints wouldn't allow it and I was too polite to say anything.

Good thing I wasn't hungry.

But my coworkers seemed to be in relatively good moods so I was also in a good mood.

Long day at the office, dicks everywhere.

Co-workers talked about immigrants and rimjobs as per usual.

I have a four hour round trip commute, and I hate my life

As boring and unfulfilling as usual, but it's stupidly easy which is why I stick around. Need to work on my social life outside of work or I'm gonna go nuts..

Showed up at 4:15, didnt have to come in until 7, oops so i slept in my truck.
7 o'clock and the biscuit maker goes home sick so my back line help goes to do biscuits today.
Manager calls in help for me but they dont get here until an hour and a half after calling them.
10 o'clock we run out of eggs so i had to hand crack them as they are ordered for an hour straight in a rush.
10:40 we run out of biscuits so we have to use buns or sour dough bread for our orders... sum up

Worked on my dayoff.
Welp no day off for me this week....

I took 1.2k in cash for the day which is pretty good, but my till was a tenner down. Cash discrepancies aren't worth reporting unless over £2. No idea what happens next but last time money in large amounts went missing they went under investigation. Though they had done it a few times before and this is the first time it's happened for me. Could just get a slap on the wrist and told to keep an eye on the money we give back if it doesn't turn up. But either way, bit of a shite mood because of it.

I could've just given incorrect change but I'm fairly certain I didn't. I'm hoping £10 was taken out for change while I was on my break and has just been misplaced. We'll see.

Were putting in custom ceiling panels of the master bedroom of a 6 bath, 6 room, two kitchen three story behemoth perched over the golden gate. I feel like a monster working for these people. Today i worked with old growth penology. The wood i handled today cost more than i would make in my entire life, like ten times over.

.... But money...

People are crazy my mother put in a 12 x 26 wall of purple heart in her master bedroom I think I would of just bought some purple wood stain. Plus it smelled horrible and the UV-sealant did't smell much better but the smell went away after about a week.


Work was rough the cleaning solution they use on the floors took the soles off my brand new work shoes after a week.

I told some customers, who were getting in the way of us setting up a party for tomorrow, to get the fuck out. In the nicest way possible and it worked LOL. Besides that it was a slow day.

Busy. Though not as busy as I expected for a weekend.

Had to answer the phone again but got tongue-tied when reciting the generic greeting. Said "Good morning", realised it was actually the afternoon, tried to change it mid-sentence and just lost it from there. Thankfully it was only another store; their till froze up so I basically just told them to turn it off and on again.

End of the month cleaning tonight didn't get out till 1:45 A.M., can't really complain when your paid by the hour

Tiring. Counting deposit 100 short and then recount only to realize I didn't count the 50s...Sometimes hard to count at end of almost 16 hours...

Work went fine. I was promoted about a week ago. I'm a manager now. Pays a bit more than my old waitress job. But more frustrating though.

Went in at 7, so a pretty good day with that and then i had stop working on backline to help unload the inventory truck and rotate our stock. So it was a really easy day for me.
