It is because I am overly honest. I might hide the truth sometimes. but in other times I cannot help but speak my heart and mind out. my honesty is my biggest problem in life.

If the American continents never existed, there probably wouldn't have been the French Revolution for hundreds of years, which means we'd all be speaking French right now and possibly be living under absolutist monarchical rule. There would also not have been a struggle in colonization which ruined some countries while boosting others. The British would probably eh... Can't say what would happen. Oh and Columbus would go down as the first person to discover the all water route to India.

If you're talking about colonization... if there was no "America," the natives would be really happy. Not only would they be able to maintain their culture, they wouldn't be bothered by foreigners forcing them, at gunpoint, to live in places that are so eloquently called "reservations."

Okay, okay. I had to add my two cents into this. Columbus did not discover America, by which I mean the United States of America. He was close, but he never set foot on the US mainland. What he did do was "discover" a few present day US territories and other Caribbean islands.

There are so many things that are misunderstood about this guy. Some of it is Washington Irving's fault. The rest lies in with the idiot history teachers that use Washington Irving as a source. In Columbus's time, he was a thought a fool not because he was the only one who thought the world was flat. It was because he made some really horrible guesses for the route to Asia. Eratosthenes proved the Earth was round nearly two thousand before Columbus. I don't know about you, but I never heard of Erathosthenes until after high school.

Well if that was to happen then I'd be seeing anime instead o cartoons when I was a kid. I'd probably be some dark-skinned(I'm Filipino) slave to a European and Code Geass(w/o the power thingy) might happen. Oh and oceans woud be VERY scary(Pacific+America+Atlantic).
