I'm late to the party but,
DAMN IT! Making predictions from an anime that does the appropriate amount of foreshadowing of future events has shit bearing on your ability to predict the future!

As for whether the tablet is the future or not, it's fairly apparent to me that they are. If you look at Android 3.0 which is specifically designed for tablet computing, you can really see we're moving in the direction I predicted in my blog post many months ago. I'm especially careful when I say things and just like how almost everything in my Madoka Magica post came true, I'm confident everything in my Tablet computing post will come true also.DAMN IT! I can say quite honestly that the ipad2 sparked an interest on my part in looking for a tablet device (as an alternative to my workstation / laptop), but after doing all the research ~ i opted for an ASUS EP121 tablet slate. It is quite literally a tablet pc in a slate's form factor, it is quite powerful from a processing standpoint (i5 processor, 4gb ram), and aside from not having a dedicated video card (it has only onboard intel video) or the greatest battery life (i can squeeze about 4.5 - 5h max from it) it is an amazing device. The wacom digitizer alone makes it worth the money as a portable digital drawing device, as I simply cannot lug around my cintiq 21ux with me. So for anyone actually looking for a *powerful* portable tablet device that you can draw and work on (and you can even play on, but not crazy graphically demanding games -- it will struggle with crysis), the asus ep121 is an amazing tablet (and a noteworthy alternative to the ipad2), though it is double the price (999.00 - 1099.00). It also has a brilliant quality display (very bright, rich colors, solid blacks), and uses gorilla glass to protect it.
