Irrational Desires

I am re-making this thread really quick, due to the fact that I'm pretty sure that Jacob's mass-post-rape made it disappear.

So tell me, what are those hopes and dreams for the future that you still hold onto, even though you know they will never happen (or are VERY unlikely to happen).

For example;
I still hold onto this idea that I can find a job that I'm good at, that I enjoy and pays well, where I can have whatever appearance I wish. Meaning that I can dye my hair whatever color I want (green >__>), wear whatever facial jewelry I want, and have tattoos visible.
I also can't help but hold onto the idea of finding true love. And that one person I'm completely comfortable with, who feels the same for me, and having a comfortable and happy future together.

For me, getting a job with nice collegues and a nice boss would be also one of the things that im sure i wont find, without any restrictions on the appearance either, ( I always wanted to color my hair blue, but thats nothing i could be at work with, same for a visible tattoo)

One thing i still want, but its highly unlikely, is to move to the states, for both spending my life there with the girl that im in love with, and to work there. But knowing that im just so-so with talking englisch, and the fact that such a plan would take a huge amount of money, I can just try to save up for it.

Those things are the desires that i have right now, and still try to achieve one day.

If someone wants it enough, it will happen.

That's how it always worked. Doubt the possibility and it will never happen.

Well, of course.
But it will often come at a cost, and often we can't afford it no matter if that cost is money related or not.

It depends on the field of work you want to get into as to what jewellery/tattoos you can have. I work as a postman, and I go about with a ponytail and a bunch of piercings in my right ear, and a eyebrow piercing, and no-one cares. I had them when I got the job as well. There are other people I work with who have tattoos visible as well. This is a blue collar job though, such things are more lax in these industries.

As for my irrational desire, I want to open a Brewery someday. May as well take my homebrewing to the next level.

Besides, these two sentences don't mesh together. They say different things; one is saying that if you try/want it hard enough, it will happen; which is complete codswallop. The other says, if you show some doubt, then it won't happen. This one I agree with to some extent.

getting 6 A's on my final collage tests...and probably getting every piece of GunPla ever made...lol

Graduating from the school I like, because I transferred to another school because of my stupid mistakes lol. I want to be a CEO someday, and I'm not sure if I can make it. Live like a rich man, have maids tend to you like in anime etc.
After having all that, I'm not sure what I like. Maybe traveling all around the world would be nice too :>

That my anxiety will stop practically controlling me when it kicks in.

That I can settle down with one person, potentially have a family at some point once the time was right, get into a career with Level editing or Website design and live a peaceful, simple, life.

I'll be with my close friends, and we'll live in Canada. Then, we'll take a trip to Japan. Yeah, some future. But it's MY future.

My irrational desire is to become a generally great guy. Great life, great job, great house, great car, and all that.

To one day have my entire closet filled with Armani suits.

To get into a job where theres only girls and I'm the only guy there.
Also, all the girls are hot and want me.

ps: If my Gf is cool with it, then it's a dream job.

Probably that one dream of being able to make that one girl my girlfriend, though she is already taken, more or less.
Another one would be to travel the world as a geologist o_o
