I'm going to watch this too; just waiting for a dvdrip or a better copy to download.Or you could pay to support what is a unique collaboration and unanimously lauded film. Pirating music and shit I can go for, but movies are an entirely affordable and superior experience.

Pirating music and shit I can go for, but movies are an entirely affordable and superior experience. What planet do you live on that music CD's are exorbitantly expensive and movie tickets are not? Going to the movies is wicked costly, they charge something like 9 USD for the ticket and 4 to 8 USD for snacks.
But yeah, Kick-Ass is fairly small-time in the way of superhero movies, if you go to the movies as rarely as I do and had to pick one movie that deserved your money, it's Kick-Ass.

I can get a ticket and food for a couple of pounds less than a new music CD; yes an album has replay value, but it's not so much an experience as going to watch an HD film on a massive fucking screen in a massive dark room. You also get through songs a lot quicker, and typically have to buy a lot of music to listen to.
I'm not saying the cinema isn't overpriced, and I don't pirate all my music by any stretch of the imagination; the vast majority of what I own I have on CD, but I want to try things out on my MP3 player before I support the artist. Thing is that this kind of controversial and fairly small-time film is worth supporting, and the cinema is a superior experience.

As for the movie...
It was good Hit-Girl was obviously the best part. I have to say after reading the comic it made me hate some parts of the movie though.
Spoilers ahead
Spoiler:
But what can you do Hollywood kills original stories; beacuse the muti-million dollars they originally made just isn't good enough for them.
Well, the "Kick-Ass" movie script was written by the "Kick-Ass" comic book writer and Illustrator Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr. So if you have something against the movie, take it up with the guys who wrote the Comic. :D

Kick-Ass, more like Sucked-Ass. The movie was horrible and I left disappointed. Im a big fan of the comic book and have been following it since issue #3. They completely butchered the comic.

If you are not a fan of the comic or have not read it, you are going to love this movie. For everybody else that has read it, you are going to hate it. I guess it depends if you been following it or not.

They completely butchered the comic.i've never seen a comic based movie that was accurate. i was talking to a friends kid about comics and their movies. i'd read alot of the comics, and the kid had read none. the kid would start by picking some random part of a movie, and then i'd tell him the way it was in the comic. i hadn't really thought about it until then, but the more we talked the more i noticed how none of the ones we talked about were accurate to the comics beyond character names and the most basic of details.

So far its the best film I have seen this year, and the 2nd best super hero movie (in my opinion). It was pretty damn sweet! That being said I have yet to read the comic, mostly because I dislike its art style but I did like Millars work in WANTED (comic, the movie was alright) so I will see about picking it up at some point.

Heard the comic book sequel will follow the movie ending. Unsure if that's true or not though.
