That actually was what I was wondering about: The lands... Though now that I think of it, there are plently of utility lands that tap for colorless.

I really hope so. He was my second-favorite, first being the Grand Arbiter (my first commander.

I'm really hoping for the shocklands to come back as well. Many of my friends think Wizards will, since the new core set has many cards that involve lands with the basic land types ("Untap target Forest", "Search your library for a Swamp", etc.).

That's true... there are plenty of utility lands, and they just keep making more of them.

I didn't play with any Ravnica cards... or don't remember playing with them, anyways... I heard stories of Niv-Mizzet, but never really saw him.

Shocklands?

shocklands are the lands from ravina with two basic land types. they're called shocklands cuz they deal 2 damage to you for playing them untapped.

nice to see another edh player.....even if ya do use slivers (we have effectively hated all sliver players out of our playgroups. just gang-up on em' relentlessly. sooooo much fun. and so funny......ah, sweet justice)

Me: "im gonna beast with ur only forest"

SliverGuy: "but he has a friggin cabal coffers!"

Me: "so?"

SliverGuy: *ragequit*

Ah. I actually use the shocklands in my zombie deck.

lolz. I haven't come across that situation yet. Even if I do use the Sliver deck and get ganged up on, I still like the chance of using and playing with my Slivers. Hell, I won a couple games where everyone ganged up on me, and I used my slivers. lol.

yeah we've lost a couple of games where we've ganged up on the sliver guy (like if they have gemhide opening hand and no one has any answers), but it's usually the idea that NOBODY like the sliver guy at all that sends them packin'.a lot of the time when the sliver guy wins, we're like "okay whatever. now leave the table, we're gonna keep playing. lol.

sliver are just inexcusably easy to use (even easier than mono-blue mind over matter, imo). we no care if they win, lol.

That's true. And I usually only play one game with my Sliver deck, and then usually switch over to my Artifact deck. Best. Move. Ever. =-=)b

best move ever? *scratches head* sorry, i'm lost now...

but yeah artifacts seem fun. we have a guy that plays a sen triplets deck, it's pretty fun to play against (just gotta hold mai return to dust for that friggin darksteel forge).

i'm using mimor vig (gilt-leaf archdruid shtick ftw) and sisters of stone death (cuz drana and skithiryx are admittedly a cheap way to go) and a lin sivvi rebel deck (mirror entity = best.rebel.ever)

It is the best move ever, because one time when I switched to my artifact deck from my sliver deck, I second turned a Winter Orb. Everyone gave up. lol. ^-^)b

I don't think I've seen a sen triplets, or heard of it either than on here. What's it do?

Ah, that's cool.

I'm using Karn, the Silver Golem. Completely colorless.

karn?

you do know that none of your lands can produce colored mana right? because you can't have cards with mana symbols printed on them that are outside of your general's colors, and all lands that tap for colored mana have that mana's corresponding symbol(s) on it. seeing as karn has no colors...

it's definitely possible tho (i've seen it done before). it just gets tricky. i was just checking to see if you knew this already.

Do you use Urza lands? Seem like good things to use in a colorless deck

I know, and none of my lands produce any sort of colored mana at all.

Here's the list:
Cloudpost
Winding Canyons
Mishra's Factory
Urza's Power Plant
Urza's Tower
Urza's Mine
Urza's Factory
Shimmering Grotto
Blinkmoth Nexus
Ghost Quarter
Scorched Ruins
Gods' Eye, Gate to the Reikai
Stalking Stones
Krosan Verge
Vesuva
Mikokoro, Center of the Sea
Blinkmoth Well
Ghost Town
Mouth of Ronom
Temple of the False God
School of the Unseen
Tendo Ice Bridge
Mirrodin's Core
Scrying Sheets
Swarmyard
Sheltered Valley
Miren, the Moaning Well
Zoetic Cavern
Maze of Shadows
Desert
Quicksand
Strip Mine
Ancient Tomb
Crystal Vein
Wasteland

Edit: Forgot Darksteel Citadel.

I also run 47 artifacts, and 16 colorless artifact creatures or Eldrazi. (not including Karn)

lol, yeah. there are alot of people where i play that just don't get that land thing (or refuse to accept it, one). glad to see some people have brains.

yeah, one of my friends made a karn deck. fully decked-out. fully foiled. it was a beast. he sold it for $1400, (he worked hard on it, but he's actually a card dealer, so if someone wants to buy his stuff he's gonna sell it no matter what, lol).

he worked hard on it, and oh it was impressive. but like i said, he's a dealer so if someone offers a price, he's gotta do his job.

Yeah, though it's gotta feel like a huge let down... unless he got more than the cost of the deck when he sold it.

hmmm, he'd definitely put my swords to good use. mono-blue aggro, huh. that'd definitely be a new one, seeing as mono-blue usually combos out. seems fun. he just cost so much. nothing that ramp artifacts can't fix tho.

It will be fun. I'm planning on building that after I finish my Omnath one, which is taking forever. lol.
