It doesnt really matter if its bumped but still stays on topic, especially in a topic where there can still be some debate. This isnt the nosebleed section.
I still stand by what I say. Megadeth is way better, imo.

Sticking with what I said five months prior. Metallica. Even the haters have to appreciate just how huge they were. How popular, and really, powerful in the world of music.

I hate Metallica. Megadeth is usually hit or miss for me on songs, but they have some good stuff, I'de choose them over Metallica any day.

Never really got into Megadeth. As for Metallica, Kill 'em all was good, the rest ain't my cup of tea...
Not huge on Thrash anyway...

"I hate them both equally!" :D
I'm not a trash fan, but if I had to choose I'd go with Metallica, they've managed few good songs, and even if Megadeth has managed to pull out one or two they lose this round.

As far as I know, Megadeth came from Metallica. Yeah, Megadeth has good songs, but I like Metallica because of originality...

Dave Mustaine pretty much made the songs that Metallica produced when he was still with them. So that "originality" IS Megadeth.

For me, Metallica always seems to sound the same, their long songs are usually long because of boring instrumentals that have nothing special in them and leave me asking when the hell its going to end. Being that my love for metal was brought about by bands like Symphony X, Blind Guardian, and Dream Theater, Metallica has always just seemed bland and boring.
As for Megadeth, their songs just seem to have more depth to them, and i really like some of them, even though Dave Mustaine has been pissing me off lately.

One reason I prefer Megadeth over Metallica is due to the fact that Megadeth has had an amazing lineup over the years. Chris Poland? Marty Friedman? All amazing guitarists, and now Chris Broderick. Dave seems to have gotten more strange ever since he "found God", though. He even refused to play with some bands on a tour because he believed they were too evil.
Wtf is that?
I agree though about Symphony X and Dream Theater. Once other elements were introduced into metal, most plain metal bands pretty much meant nothing to me from that point on.

Ya Megadeth has had some pretty amazing musicians. Dave Mustaine is just kinda weird, and he seems to be selling out a tad, Bullet for my Valentine and A7X were rumored the be the first bands announced for the nex gigantour? WTF? Although that was announced a long time ago and he hasnt spoken about a new gigantour in a loooong time, so i can only hope that isnt true if he has another one. WTB gigantour 1 again(megadeth, symphony x, nevermore, dream theater at the same concert? WIN)
