Premier League Discussion Thread
0
[font=Verdana][color=green]Greetings.
A few days ago, Neko-chan made a thread for the Manchester United v Arsenal game. It quickly adapted to a discussion about the Premier League; who will win what game etc etc etc.
As such, I have decided to create a Premier League Discussion Thread. You can use this thread to talk about the current state of the league, discuss the weekends results or anything else to do with the Premier League.
As I type this, I'm watching Match of the Day (Y).
Please keep in mind people may not know the scores of the weekend so far, so if a spoiler is necessary feel free to use one =]
Heck, if need be, this could be a good place to have bets between each other as well ;)

[font=Verdana][color=green]Not true, some games were on. Check out the Sunderland v Bolton game; Craig Gordon's save is one of the best you'll ever see for a long time. Other than that, the games that were on were very slow and boring; kinda wish they were postponed. Shame that Chelsea v Man Utd is off though; had a bet with my brother.

Arsenal V Stoke one is off as well.
Winter transfer window is coming up!
Who do you guys think will move to/away from the EPL?

Once the week is over, I am open to new bets again. :D
Although the English Premier League is one of the most popular leagues in the world, I don't get as much enjoyment from watching it as compared to watching the Champions League or Barcelona's style of play.
Then again, it is my own personal opinion. I am not sure if anyone else feels the same way.
P.S. My favourite and most supported club is still Crystal Palace. :)

[font=Verdana][color=green]You're on, Gambler. Be prepared to change your signature. ;)
I can understand how you feel about the Champions League and Barcelona; I agree with you on the Champions League, but with Barcelona comes La Liga...which is good but not as good.
Also, it isn't called the English Premier League! It's the "Premier League", just like the Bundesliga or La Liga aren't called the German Bundesliga/Spainish La Liga. =P
Oh dear...Crystal Palace...not doing very well are they? ;)

Yeah, I used to watch the Champions League religiously before the semester. Going to start watching it again.
I'd like to bet as well. Should be fun!
I guess I'll introduce my favorite team (Many of you have already guessed it): Arsenal F.C.!
Although I do have my favorites in every league (Valencia C.F. has a special place in my heart), and I follow my motherland's football as well (Atlas F.C. - La Barra 51!)

[font=Verdana][color=green]Tell me about it; it's amazing how much you get out of the loop once you go to University.
I'll introduce my favourite teams throughout the top three English leagues;
Premier League: Chelsea.
Championship: Reading.
League One: Brighton.
How long do people reckon games will be postponed for? Surely not another week?

You get more boring games in the PL, but the good ones are far better than anything from La Liga in my opinion. The end-to-end pace of play can be brilliant to watch.
I support Manchester United, as you may have noticed, and my favourite teams in the two tiers down would be Cardiff and Brighton. And just to clarify, the games are off this week because of dangerous conditions in and around the stadiums, not because the pitches couldn't be cleared. Another week is more than possible with the forecasts.

I think Man Utd should buy back Ryan Shawcross after all they've got first option and hes a beast of a defender! (Gary Nevs time is OVER)
Qatari royal family might be able to afford him. Lol~

So, I just watched that hilarious goal Chicharito scored on Chelsea earlier in the season.
Honestly, he failed and still managed to score? O_o

[font=Verdana][color=green]Another Chelsea fan, sweet.
Indeed; what I meant was though, how long will games continued to be postponed for? These games that were cancelled recently will probably be after the New Year at least.

[font=Verdana][color=green]Well, where I'm living, all the snow has basically been rained off. Bear in mind that the snow is affecting the South a lot more than the North; and I live in the South.
On other news, I'm so envious of my brother right now; he's watching Manchester v Sunderland on Boxing Day at Old Trafford. Bastard! XD
Btw Gism88, fancy a bet for the upcoming Arsenal v Chelsea match, seeing as we are both fans of each team? ;)

Oh DEFIANTLY!What did you have in mind?
[font=Verdana][color=green]A prediction of the score sounds the fairest and best solution. However, the other method could be goals scored. As such, I propose these two different bets, you can match which ever one you prefer:
Arsenal 1 - 2 Chelsea.
3 goals or less.
The problem with the score prediction is that we could have a scenario where we are equal goals away from the score i.e. I predict 1 - 1 you predict 3 - 3 and it's actually 2 - 2. In that situation, would it be fair to say that you would win, as it's already past my score?
How do you match that? What shall be the penalty as well? :o
