The last movie I saw was Summer Wars. It was pretty good actually. I definitely felt that I saw something similar before though. So I looked it up and turns out the director also directed Digimon the Movie lol. Summer Wars is better though, mainly because its a self contained story. The animation was smooth and there was scenery porn aplenty. The movie does a good job of developing the characters well. Summer wars also lasts a good two hours. Its a lighthearted movie so don't expect dark themes or brutal deaths.
A solid 8-9/10 from me.

Shrek 4.........3.5/10
It was pretty sad to watch something like this.
Shrek 1 and 2 were great, and well-thought; Shrek 3 wasn't bad but it could improve in some areas;however, this fourth one was a flat D movie. Half the time, the movie ripping off a lot of shit that you can see from disney oldies. This movie falls into the same barrel of the thrid mummy movie.
Bottomline, For this who seen the first 3 shrek, I recommend that you don't waste your time with this sad thing, nor buy the movie either. just ignore this movie.
Luckily, from the ending credits, There will not be a fifth.

Last movie I watched was...aww geez, it was either Defendor, Imaginarioum of Dr Parnassus or Facing Ali (watched all three in a row).
Defendor: 4.5/10
Imaginarium: 5.5/10
Facing Ali: 7.5/10
Not too bad of a night, I mean better than the last movie night:
Old Dogs: 1.5/10
Did you hear about the Morgans: 1.5/10
The Haunting in Connecticut: 2/10
The Fourth Kind: 1.5/10
(The only reason the bottom two are renting so well is because how they are based on true events. SURE they are)
Should of just caved in and watched Zombieland again :(
Zombieland: 8/10
Defendor: 4.5/10
Imaginarium: 5.5/10
Facing Ali: 7.5/10

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) 7/10
Was browsing RottenTomatoes for some horror movies the other day, and I stumbled across this. It got a whopping 100% (and RT critics are usually very picky).
So I thought, the movie can't be bad right? Gotta give this a try if it got a perfect score.
The movie wasn't bad. The backgrounds and the stage props were nothing short of amazing and the movie was WAY, WAY ahead of it's time. It felt like some kind of twisted dream, so surreal.
That said, the acting wasn't all that good and the plot was rather shallow, though I liked the fact that this had a bad ending.

When I use rotten tomatoes, and dont get me wrong its a great site, I look at the score below the percentage rating (in the case of 'The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari' 8.9/10).
The only problem with the tomatometer is that you can only basically vote for a movie two ways, you either liked it, or you didnt, theres no variation. So a movie could still get 100%, even though every critic just gave it 6/10. The percentage is more along the lines of 'how many people out of 100% liked the movie enough to pass it' rather than perfection.
ANYWAY enough about that, you had me inspired so I too watched 'The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari'. Interesting visuals, 7/10 is agreed with.

My 3rd time seeing Avatar (my first time on Blu-Ray.)
9/10
I loved the movie, watching it in on the LED looks AMAZING!!! I would have rated this one as a 10, but the political references are a major turn off to me.

You've Got Mail 1/10
Now now, before you call me 'teh gay', it wasn't like I watched this on purpose. It was on, I couldn't find the remote, and I had little else to do but make fun of Meg Ryan. I can't stand Meg Ryan, she looks like a boy, and not even a cute boy, but some sort of misshapen freak of nature whose entire career consists of acting cutesy in order to make romantic trainwrecks. This is one such example. You've got Mail, as the name implies, is about two e-mail pals, Meg and Tom Hanks. Naturally, they live in the same damn city and spend most of the movie walking past each other or even talking to each other at length without realizing that they are digital bff's. They spend a lot of time sending very wordy and unamusing anecdotes to each other, and until they actually start talking in real life, the movie is complete fluff. Just random scenes of their very boring lives. Then they meet, and it sucks just a little bit more. I wanted to die, and I feel bad for watching this.

Survival of the Dead: 6/10
Rather disappointing. Romero should be going back to actually making GOOD Zombie movies.
This could basically be seen as a spin-off of Diary of the Dead, as the main characters are the military guys that robbed the main characters of Diary of the Dead in one scene.
It's basically more of the same old, same old. I really miss the old spark here that made movies like Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead such classics.
Diary of the Dead was so-so, but this brought the series to an all-time low.
Plus, this adds about nothing to the Zombies' background. The most important stuff was covered in Day of the Dead, the only new thing is (minor spoiler)

The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. 7/10
Decent movie, not as good as I had hoped but better than I thought it would be.
The fact that Heath Ledger died during the recording of the movie, and that they therefore switch actors for that role is really well done and fits the movie perfectly. Even if it is a little confusing, a lot of things in this movie were.
Overall, decent. Not something I'd pay to go watch at the cinema, but it fills out an otherwise boring evening pretty well.

Dear John.
6/10
I am not a big fan of romance genre to begin with. The ending was a little stupid in my opinion. Also I did not like the main girl. But the story of the main guy's father was something I liked (reminded me of Clannad in some way).
I would not recommend this movie but I heard some good comments on it and I kinda understand that.

Eragon. 3/10. Doesn't do the book justice in the least.GOD! dont even say that name as a movie! that was the bigest farce i hd ever seen! i mean i know they have to deviate from the book to fit it into the time frame, but with that the only thing that was the same was the name, some aspects of the magic, and saphira. thats IT the rest is complete bullshot. i say 1 star. i wont give it zero because the books are amazing.
