Honestly, it's a pretty stupid reason, but when we both started going out, I was a virgin, she wasn't... I wanted somebody who was a virgin so we could both experience it together/ not have ex's who have fiancé's who want to kill you

I think she loved you in a different way. All girls need the chivalry guy friends. But I wouldn't have experience in these subjects and I don't know since I just observe behaviors and their social etiquette.
But I did tell a girl that was one year older than me that I liked her. This was when I was around 5th grade and we both went to the same martial arts class. She laughed at me and her and her cousins/siblings made fun of me and gave me all the humiliation. They even went to the extent of teasing me and trolling me on the game GUNBOUND and talking about mom jokes. Oh and BTW her cousin was in high school.
