As i said in the old topic, I'm up for this.. Sounds like some fun, and there are many different ways to keep shit under control if it goes out of control.

Probably not. D&D is pretty combat focused and has little support for narrative elements and no support for giving players narrative powers, it's good for "live" sessions around a table (even if you're using IRC or Skype or whatever), but IMHO not so good for a play by post game.

That's why I keep arguing for using narrative games as those have built in mechanics for those issues and combat in them tends to be a lot faster (and abstract) so the play doesn't get bogged down in number crunching and back-and-forth combat move declarations.

We could still use a D&D setting or background, but I don't think core D&D mechanics would benefit this endeavor.

I actually love roleplaying! If it could be something exiting and romantic I'd definitely join!

If it has the post count turn off go ahead and do it cause otherwise no. Generally I'm more of a reader on these things and participator.

That being said, with the constant battle going on in the Wrting forum, it might be a good idea to send this there, as a way to keep activity high (by high I mean higher than it was).

Does that matter? Can't a new subsection just be set to where post don't count?

I think that a RP section would fit better in under the Writing Section. However, it would have the benefit on +1 moderators being under the IB section.
