Reading all the books has made me love Kim, oh Kim you so hawt <3Haha, I'm starting to feel the same after playing through the game with her. I still have books 5 and 6, though, so I'm sure my love for her will keep on growing.

Loved the movie, one of the first this year ive seen more than once. Being in the critic industry I hardly EVER do that.
Afterwards I purchased the comics and bought the game off PSN
I am dissapointed at its lack of box office return, since we will probably never see a movie like it again. So I recommend that enjoy it on the big screen while you still can :3

I definitely agree with you, and it's really a shame. I don't understand why people enjoy seeing crappy, poorly rated movies rather than seeing a well-received, but somewhat obscure movie.

Haha, that was so crazy hiring the voice actor of Katara.
Also,
Spoiler:
Don't think I've ever enjoyed watching a film as much as this, definite fav. Gives me unholy rage to see how much lack of profit it made, while stuff like Twilight makes billions.

Wow, I didn't know that was Katara's voice actress. Thanks for the heads up!
And yeah,
Spoiler:

On a related note I am seriously hating people who are classifying this as hipster. I've asked people, they say it's cause it has too many NES references and acts pretentious about it? I'm sorry but WHAT? I usually try to see both sides but that seems so pedantic.

I'm sorry but WHAT? I usually try to see both sides but that seems so pedantic. I think it all stems from people not exactly knowing what hipster means. It generally refers to people who are 'young, recently-settled urban middle class adults and older teenagers with interests in non-mainstream fashion and culture, particularly alternative music, indie rock, independent film, magazines such as Vice and Clash'. To put it in the BROADEST possible sense that those people could understand, just respond to them with "Well this wasnt an independant film, thus it was aimed to the larger audience and not a hipster crowd, so CHECKMATE!" It was aimed at videogamers, which is a huge group of people. Only problem is since it did independant film-like box office returns, its quickly declassified to that.
But if they are arguing something like 'it isnt mainstream', then yes its hipster, but why is that a bad thing? Just because its hipster doesnt mean its any less awesome. Every movie right now that isnt a vampire or action one isnt mainstream, thus must be hipster. Its a slippery slope :S

Cannot stop watching/listening to this, she sings so well and is too beautiful...although...SHE LOOKS LIKE MY SISTER, WHY DO I STILL FIND HER ATTRACTIVE? Eurgh Scott Pilgrim has twisted me.
But Envy Adams, also love her, all the girls in Scott Pilgrim are just so lovable. (except for Knives, she looked better with longer hair damn it.)
Anyway I saw the film again a few days ago, sadly the place was nearly empty. It was a late night showing though so I can only hope that was the only reason why it was so empty, it really does suck that it's not as big as a hit as it should be.

Hehe, I definitely agree with you on all of the girls being lovable in their own special ways. Well...except for Julie, but nobody likes her, I believe.
And it is very sad that the theater was empty, but even when I went on opening weekend, it was placed in one of the smaller theater rooms, and it looked full only due to the small accommodations.
Anyways, I found some remixes to the trailer that are quite good. Here's one, and the rest are on their channel if anyone is interested:

Julie is pretty hot, but otherwise annoying.
I think Metric wrote that Black Sheep song, or they've at least covered it, which made me like the film even more.
I was kind of annoyed at how Gideon and Envy's roles weren't taken as seriously as they were in the comic, though.

I don't have anything original to add, but I completely agree that this movie was awesome. I am also dissapointed that it didn't do better sales wise. I especially suprised that with all the raves about it on the internet, there isn't more people going out to see it.

I liked Julie, but only because the actress that plays her is from Parks and Rec.

Yeah, I feel the same. I just got done reading the last book, and as I was reading it, I had wished that they included a lot more Envy into the film, or at least her role in the last book.

It will make most of its sales up in its DVD release, so it will definately make its money back. But since it wont be a 'blockbuster' that will just be the end of it. Id like to know what extras would come with it, will there be a version with the game? Will there be one with a t-shirt or some other memorabilia? Collectors editions would be an easy way for them to make their money back so im pretty sure they will release something like that.
Oh yeah and quickly back on the point of the 'hipster movie' thing. I reciently discussed the idea with 3 of the film lecturers at my university (all with PhDs in film or screenwriting) and none consider 'hipster' a genre. So there ya have it :D

The movie was made before the last book was even written. The writer of Scott Pilgrim tried to keep the director of the movie in the loop every time he got closer to writing book 6 but if envy had a big part in the last book then the director and screen writer never knew till it was to late.

Ah, that's why. I totally forgot that the movie and the last book were worked on at the same time. That definitely explains the lack of Envy. Thanks for the reminder!

I only finally got around to reading all the scott pilgrim books yesterday (had to order them on ebay since you cant get them hardly anywhere over here in Australia) and had no idea the final book and movie came out around the same time. Im a little torn between which ending I like better, one focuses on following up on and looking at all the characters while the other looks at just finishing it all with a big climax and battle sequence. Im actually impressed that Edgar Wright managed to get everything important into the movie in under 2 hours, the things he cut out worked and wouldnt of worked in the context of the movie anyway, so im even more thouroughly impressed at it now. I've now made myself want to see it again...
