The last lie you said

Well, I don't know if this counts, but I was on the train, and a Japanese guy sat beside me, and wanted to talk to me, and was drunk, and I was having none of it. Luckily, he was not good with English, and I pretended I knew Japanese.
Although technically, I didn't say "I don't know Japanese", so... maybe it's not a lie?
I generally get to spend 90% of my time around people I enjoy, so I don't need to lie so much.

"No, I'm not mad at you."
... At the risk of sounding sexist against women (and therefore myself), is that just a female thing or does everybody do this?

I do on occasion. To avoid becoming passive-aggressive or visibly pissed off at them I try not to talk to them or completely disregard what they did and just carry on as normal, at least until I get time to myself.
