I mostly hear Jap musics from an anime OST. Jap musics always had some unique taste in every melody.

I like Japanese music because they can extend/shorten words and it still sounds good.
Checked out Gee by Girls Generation , it was awesomely girly.

Most of the jap songs I listen to are from animes that I've watched. They remind me of those animes whenever I listen to them. And also, because they are a joy to listen to =]

Some has a better beat than what you would find in English music, I like the guitar better as well as the beats better.
The vocals also seem better on some days.

It sounds a lot better than that auto-tune crap they play in US radio. I like how voice actors (like Aya Hirano) Sound like when they sing...

I usually don't listen to japanese music all that much because I'm always like "URRRGH didnt catch that word"
I mainly listen to J-Rock, I like the atmosphere. It's totally different from western rock music.

Helps me study. Especially since the language is new to me, and its like a white noise effect to me. But since I've started learning the language, that has since disappeared however, I still enjoy Japanese music as its a change from the music here.

I like music. That's it. I was listening to English music a long time before I learned the language, as really do most people in non-English speaking countries. No-one wonders about that, so why should listening to Japanese (or French, or German, or any other language) music be treated any differently?

Reasons
1. It makes me remember of the anime that I have watched.
2. From my own perception, I think Japanese music is cooler and more awesome than any other music.
3. It makes me feel relaxed and calm.
4. It is pleasant to hear because of it's catchy music
5. I just love it! :D

Is probably why i got into Japanese music in the first place. and if i liked the anime, i usually liked the music that accompanied it.
Thats not to say i don't like Japanese music that isn't related to anime, its just i don't hear those to often.
I also like the Language in general. Regardless of if anime influenced me back when i first heard it, to me the language sounds very "flowing" and "natural". I like how simply changing your tone of voice and emotion with the same sentence can mean 2 different things. I like how the same sentence with different contexts cant mean something different. The list goes on. Overall i just like to hear the language being spoken. The Music being sung in the language i like is a no brainer...

Because Japanese music is different. I'm quite hooked to Japanese and Korean, and it helps when you understand it.

I remember that i posted something like this here so fews of the users here knows that we love J-Musics. That makes the community of FAKKU a lively bunch once again...
Just like the other comments, J-Musics really makes a different kind of "MIX" to our lives regardless of the situation were in.

a lot of good bands that I know of are J-Band's it's mostly the fact that I listen to what people around me do not consider mainstream music that I tend to convert a few people to it. That and when someone can''t sing they still sound better than most American pop star wannabee's *Cough*Miley Cyrus*cough*
