Summer is just ramping up for most of us in the Northern Hemisphere, but the month of July has passed and with it the theme of Summer Produce. There weren't many entries this month, but the contestants brought the heat on with these dishes:
Animefreak_usa made Fried Squid with Fried Green Tomatoes
Nekohime made Garden-Fresh Tomato Basil Soup
Neruku made Glass Noodles with Oyster Mushrooms
As an aside, this was a bit of a letdown after the great turnout for last month's contest, but I do hope you guys join in August's contest!
Remember folks, we are judging on how well the recipe fits the theme for this month, and how delicious the food looks in the photos! Winner will get to pick the theme for September. Good luck to everyone. The poll will be open for 5 days starting now.

Hmmm, Im feeling really bad for not joining this month (again) - but when I cook, I now have to cook for 6 and I have no camera. I was going to make some mushroom flatbread, which tastes amazing with a cold beer and a friend on a summers day, but meh.
But Good quality entries, makes it hard to choose really.
Nerukus looks tasty and nice, but seems a little simple colour-wise, you could have potentially added some more ingredients perhaps.
Animefreaks looks really tasty, as per usual, but it is a tad messy as the coating kinda crumbled.
Nekohimes looks great too, made from nice ingredients too, but I like my soups a little more red O.o
Really close call, but my vote goes to animefreak, as its looks real tasty and it seems like great food to have during the summer days.
A round of applause to all the contestants though and keep up those puns Nekohime.
