So I got my hands on a tofu recipe, which i received from a very lovely person whom is amazingly awesome. Yeah her recipe called for several things, I didn't have. SO GROCERY SHOPPING...then after a mile or so of walking and looking. NO stores near me had any good noodles, nor did they have any of the whole spices I needed... SO IMPROV TIME. Quick but filling and works on a budget. =3= ALSO Here is her written version of the stir-fry tofu, READ IT DAMN E_)E ITS ADORABLE
*Ingredients You'll Use*
*Utensils You'll Use*
Alright So LET US COOK.
1) We'll fist start off with drying off our tofu,, remove it form the container and wrapping it around some paper towels and add some weight on it. This will dry off the tofu. leave it off to the side and we'll get to it later.
2) Wash and gather up your vegetables.
Cut your Carrots into small bite sized cubes
Cut the celery on a bias along with the green onion.
Slice your cabbage leaves into 2inch ribbons
Peal and mince your garlic.
SET ASIDE E_)E
3) Crack and beat 2 eggs in a bowl.
4) Check on your tofu and feel it. It should have lost some moisture. Remove the paper towel Cut it into cubes. Pour soy sauce over it. Let it soak up the sauce. In the mean time.... Ready your self to wok. e_e
5) Check on your rice. Mine was ready in 20 mins but take as long as it needs. Let it cool down in a plate and season it with soy sauce (and some vinegar of you like some tang)
6) HEAT your wok on high and add 3 or so TBSP of oil ( I used canola)
Add the tofu carefully into the oil, we're going to crisp it up a bit. Brown all of its sides. once you do that.
Add in the carrots and garlic and fry for 1 minute then add in the rest of the veggies.
Continue stir-frying for 3 minutes 3_3
NOW move all the veggies to the edge making a well of sorts and add in your beaten egg with a pinch of salt and scramble them E_)E
Once you have some scrambled eggs, fold in your seasoned rice and fry the rice
Taste and check the seasonings then.
And there you have it . Quick and filling food.
Oh yeah and tasty =3=
So enjoy the food you've made and nap
(leftovers best reheated on stove top, just saying)
