The trailer's music by Smashing Pumpkins was nice, I think it fit.
As for the movie, it looks fine but I think it might take a long time to reintroduce characters as surely, the Comedian is dead and he has parts in the movie.

Before they signed Zack Snyder, Paul Greengrass was signed on to direct. Can you imagine what a fiasco that would have been? Paul Greengrass?

My biggest thing is how in God's name are they going to do the Mars part pre Scarlet Specter showing up. Jon's self reflection bit on his origin was one of the most confusing things I have ever read. The only way I think they could do it was one long in order sequence starting in the military research base and progressing as such with little flickers back to the present and future. That and I can not for the life of me figure out how they will intersperse the pirate story.

well, for anyone who's familiar with the watchmen story, it's incredibly dark, as are the characters. It's also an incredibly intelligent and very very bloody. With hollywood's most recent trend of taking a darker, grittier approach to their film properties, similar to the approach taken with the recent batman films. If the producers stay true to the source material this could be a fantastic film.

Rumor has it that at the screener for the movie, the ending is a bit different. The giant squid is replaced by a machine that mimics Dr. Manhattan powers and sets off nuclear bomb explosions in various cities around the world....

Still, the people with the magazine seem stoked for it. I don't get it. Watchmen isn't really the sort of thing that you should adapt to a video game.

after the way other Alan Moore comics got butchered to make it to the big screen, I'm not gonna get my hopes up. I mean watchmen is a comic and is written to be just that. It was never made to be a film. They're gonna have to cut huges ammount out of the souce materialyeah i heard no one is gonna like it if they are fans of the original watchmen. i hope it doesnt disappoint, but for some reason a lot of movies based on comics and books dont do well. like if you want to see the book captured really well on the silver screen it doesnt work out 100% of the time.

Woo Hoo! I necrobumped this thread! And for good reason.
So since Fox and WB finally settled their dispute, WB can now start their ad campaign for the movie, as such, they have started with some viral marketing in the form of these two videos:
NBS Nightly News with Ted Philips, March 11th 1970
The Keene Act & YOU (1977)
I find it harder to wait for 3/6/9

I have seen a ton of commercials for this movie on TV, and it looks really good.
I'm almost seeing as many commercials for it as Paul Blart.

The trailers lead me to believe that they stayed pretty true to the graphic novel, some scenes look exactly like they lifted panels out of the comic. I have high hopes for this movie, hope they did a great job!
