I don't support wearing clothes in general. The idea of wearing a uniform makes me want to rip a car in half. I mean I do wear one for work, but I look like a stylish motherfucker so it's different. You understand.

My winter school uniform for high school was dreadful. All of us girls looked like nuns. When it's summer, we looked like nurses. -_-"
But I do love my lab coat, it makes me feel like a genius. XD

I wore school uniforms throughout elementary and HS. It's actually nice to not have to think about what to wear from day to day, and besides, we were allowed to accessorize to unleash our creative monsters or whatever.

I never had to wear it, but I never liked the prospect. It seems as rather waste of money that can be spend on books and other items, like graphical calculators (which were not only required in our math class, but ridiculously expensive).
And I never believed in this whole "it'll make students less discriminating against peers, more uniform etc."
Really? They would find something different to serve as basis of discrimination. Like judging people based on the watches or something equally silly.
And finally, keeping them all clean would be a pain, and you'd probably need more than one, and that is not accounting for summer/winter seasons.
On side note, my highschool's student council tried to push for uniforms. But it got refused, because most of regular students and half the teachers didn't want them. There were also ekhm, rumors of student council girls wish for uniforms just so they could shorten their skirts and parade around the school teasing the guys. Sounds shoddy, but not very far-fetched for them.

I vote yes, they should. What with girls hitting puberty earlier and earlier these days (8) and the overall american society pushing sex on children (disney) and with toys barbie, bratz) specifically targeting young girls and telling them to be glamorous like they see in TV (gossip girls, pretty much any girl show) need uniforms to keep them from whoring it up at school. You go to school to fucking learn not worry about how you look and that should be upheld imo.

Wore a uniform in middle school. It was a bit of pain but I didn't really mind it(its not like I think about what I wear anyway). So I'm totally fine with schools having uniforms as long as they don't make you spend a shit load of money on them.

Uniforms are nice because you don't have to worry about what you wear every day.
I spend a lot of time thinking what to wear everyday so imagine if I have to think about what to wear every morning before I go to school. I would be late!

I actually took three years of school over in Japan an I absolutely loved my uniform. Not sure why but it brought me pride to rep my school an was easy to wear. I think I had my uniform on more then I wore anything else. When I came back to America for my last school year after 3yrs was hard to adjust to school without the uniform cause always had to pick out what I would wear. People asked me why I was always "prim an proper" as they put it in my cloths. Was just something I got accustom too.
I Think uniforms should be implemented at all schools in America. Makes you more focused on important things. An might give people some pride in reping their schools.

Guess it's alright. I really hate picking clothes out for school, better if everyone just wore the same thing.

I think school uniforms are a good idea, because back when i was in 7th grade stupidass kids would try to bully you around because you liked band they don't. so yeah i like school uniforms, some times it makes girls look sexy and it's fun to undress them in bed.

Uniforms are just a waste of time and money, and aggressively limit the ability for a lot of students to create their own social persona, and find out what they like and can be accepted for. It also makes it a lot easier to keep certain groups of the school together and to tell students apart. Especially because I lived in Vancouver, where a lot of the Asian girls looked the same to me, and god help me if they had started wearing uniforms. Back in my day the emo's all wore similar clothing, goths, preps, jocks, punks, grungies, Nerds and Geeks all did too. I was a nerd but I preferred the gothic style better, so I fit in with either group. It's just easier to class people, and makes it easier for other members of their group to stand up for each other(except for the emos/nerds/geeks). That's how it used to be anyways, the current high-school generation has no morals whatsoever.Had to +rep you, couldn't agree more.
I only had to wear a uniform for one year in middle school before I got kicked out.
I truly hated it and the school for various other reasons.
It was just an awful school/time in my life (dad had died that year)
And as I recall, the uniform didn't help with stopping gangs or discrimination.
Like someone else already said, kids just found another silly way to discriminate.
