hey, i was wondering what do girls look for in a guy? it can be either looks or personality, ive been getting pretty close with this girl i like and would want some advice for the final hurdle of asking her out.

It depends. Observe her carefully. There are girls that would go for looks. Others look into personality. Usually the heart catcher is if you have a good sense of humor. Make her laugh and make her happy.

Also, self confidence is extremely important. If you feel good about yourself people will feel better about you.

Seriously depends on the race. What I know
-For Asia-born Asians, you need to be VERY reliable and have a good future. You must be able to support a family. Also, get along with her side of the family really really well. Confidence isnt really important.
-For America-born Asians, you dont need to be as reliable and you just need a pretty good future. College is a must. Family is also important, but not a huge deal. Confidence is sort of important and looks are probably a bit more important too.
-For Americans in General, be an asshole.

like everyone else is saying, it really depends on the girl. you need to find out her interests and also when it comes to looks you should probably observe the way she dresses. for example, if she dresses like a hipster she probably listens to a bunch of indie bands and shops at urban outfitters. im sure after getting to know her itll be pretty easy to put the pieces together.

I'm stopping before I go into a misandry rant, and I know that not all women will switch to another guy just because some douche bag can can 'charm' their pants off, but those kind of women are hard to find these days,

Cool summation. Not entirely true, though. There are girls who remain steadfast in their choice to be with men that treat them with affection and respect. Ladies who opt for such dysfunctional relationships may have issues we are not certain of to begin with. Then again, it's just my two cents worth on this topic.

Then the women who know better will start becoming easier to find. So I believe you when you say that those girls are out there. But for now, they are a minority.
