What operating system are you using? What do you like and dislike about it?
I am using Windows XP on one pc. I like the ease of use, but recently I have been getting fed up with Microshit and might switch to Linux. If this seems short, I wanted to make the first post in the new board. ^_^
I am also dual booting Vista and Ubuntu (8.04) on another macchine.

Just the bog standard XP on this end.
I dunno if I'll go vista, I'm quite happy with XP at the moment.

Still love using XP! Vista is incompatible with programs, some of my eroge doesn't work.

I've never had a problem with any eroge working on Vista. I can even run the old DOS games on it fine.
So, yea. I use Vista. I love it. I hated when I had to go to XP a few years back. I guess I'm just a black sheep.
I loved Windows ME while almost everyone hated it.
Everyone loves XP while I hate it.
I love Vista while most people think it's trash.
Weird... I'm starting to see a recurring theme.

Wow, glad I know that. I'm also still on XP but mostly because I'm lazy. Now I have a reason to stay this way.

For one thing, Illusions game, such as School Mate doesn't work in Vista, other games besides that works fine. But for the time being I'm no t going to use it, not enough budget, I'll rather buy a new PC with High specs

Agreed, Mattarat, another reason not to use Vista. Although, with a little bit of work, I bet the eroge games could be made to work.
On a good note, there are rumors that Windows has pushed up the release date for their next OS. Hopefully, it will be better than Vista, but that is not saying much. -_-

Working on Xp didn't dare to change into other OS yet cuz and doesn't seem necessary at the moment ... still xp is quite versatile now

I'm using Linux right now. There is no such thing as spyware and Virii are slim to none(yes they exist but very rare to encounter one these days). What do I like about it? I am in full control of my computer. Nothing runs without me knowing it and if I don't like how it runs I can change it.
If you never used Linux before the key point to remember is that Linux is not Windows. You can do most of the things you do in Windows on Linux ,but you can not do everything. If you want an easy distro to get started look for Ubuntu. It pretty much configures everything for you out of the box, provided your hardware is supported.
+1 for first post.

I'm usin the Vistas, I kinda didn't like vista at first, but after using the official betas for like a month, I started to love it, especially after getting vista ultimate with the video wallpaper ability, which BTW is total win

I am a Mac OS X user (Tiger), on new(ish) iMac. I like that it has little to no viruses, ease of use, a dedicated shareware community, pleasant customer service(Applecare), out of the box functionality, and general stability. I dislike having to dual boot to use a large amount of software and games (Boot Camp), lack of dvd-rom support, and the difficulty of transferring files between the two OS.

Windows XP on my current laptop.
Windows ME on my screen burnt-out laptop.
Windows 95 on my Pentium 133MHz desktop.
My favourite will always be Windows 95, since it is easy to navigate for people new to computers. That and Windows 95 was my first ever graphic interface OS. :D
