It was announced too early to be an April Fool's joke I think, but if it was, I will laugh my head off. :D

I will go though 2 different reactions if that happens. I will be relieved and be pissed at the same time. Ultimately I'd rather it be a prank.

It's not a prank unfortunately. Too many big companies and their reputations are at stake.

Yeah. It's pretty strange how people get freaked out before knowing what it can actually do.

The news last night said that it never happened and everyone was very thankful about it. False alarm I suppose. Or a really mean April Fools joke

Either way I'm glad I don't have it. But I'd probably say it was an April Fools Joke... a bad one.

So if the fucking news assholes were behind this, their credibility as a news source should be gone. Then again they probably thought that this was legitimate themselves.

Plus, the fact that no one knows shit about what's going on is pissing me off. I'll just never let my guard down I suppose.

At the same time, the news said there was a warning, which there was. The threat was real, but they weren't sure of the execution. They provided links on their websites to help protect your computer and gave tips as to how to avoid it.

I would give them credit for at least letting the public know. The news broadcast was mainly about Microsoft offering award money for somebody to find the culprit. Then they followed up with preventions, etc.

I meant, 250 grand is a lot of money right now ;p

According to this, the pesky worm is still a threat. Also that the guys who made it might be in Eastern Europe.
