In the area I live in(MN) everyone that I know calls it "dew" because all they drink is Mtn. Dew, if not they just call it pop.

Eh, here in Australia, I mostly hear people saying "Soft Drinks" or "Fizzy Drinks", but I usually just say "Soda".

Soda, soft drinks and pop are used as well mostly soft drinks but I've always considered pop to be what you call cheap fizzy drinks.
