As A Canadian, this has interest to me, I'd vote for Obama due to abortion, and other moral issues, and Obamacare. But What I'm really interested in is the Legalization of Weed in Washington, as it would have a big effect on the economy of BC, if it so passes.

I live in California, so Obama's getting our electoral college votes. If anything, I'm just voting for local stuff, and a few propositions.

America catches shit from non-US citizens no matter what. The fact of the matter is, as fucked up as the electoral system is, all US citizens can participate in the democratic process of electing our leaders. If you don't play the game, you have no right to bitch if you're on the losing end.

so far this year I've filled out over 16 apps, 10 which were wanting help at the time out of all of those i get 1 email back saying I've been considered to clean at my local walmart. I go in 4 days later to see whats up and the job was taken by a Hispanic male mid 40's - early 50's that can't speak a lick of english he couldn't even say hello in english when i spoke to him. i even asked him in spanish if he spoke english and he responded no. I'm tired of the BS

It's funny because you missed the point entirely. You're so hell-bent on blaming everything on Obama. How the heck is Obama responsible for any of those things you spoke off.

obama, better to stick with the idiot I know then the one I don't, but if there was a anyone else with half a brain running I'd vote for them

Spoiler:
Alright, listen here. You elect someone to represent you, right? If you choose to refrain from the privilege of voting, and leave it up to others saying "Hey, I don't want nothing to do with this, you guys go ahead and choose whoever you want." at least I would say you're a fucking hypocrite to go complain about it later.
If no candidate available fits you, then protest vote, don't sit around on your ass and do nothing, being passive is being part of the problem. There's almost a third of legitimate voters in the US that refrain from using their vote, if all these people actually took their time to get off their fat asses, imagine what they could do. They could, theoretically, break that stupid two-party system.
Lastly, taxes. It's your duty to pay taxes, and if you, when the chance is given, refuse to at least point at the muppet you want distributing those taxes then no, you have no right to complain. Again, it's your duty to pay those taxes, if you don't want to support your country and don't even care enough to tell anyone what you'd like your money to be used for, then maybe you should consider getting the fuck out and move somewhere else.
Hypothetically you go to a health center seeking help, in exchange for money they're suppose to help you but all they do is hurt you, so you then choose to go to another place and they do the same. In that scenario you have no right to complain about how both places are conducting there business if you chose neither afterwards? That giving them money has nothing to do with them doing there job properly? I was under the impression that I pay taxes so things can function and properly at that, but apparently I'm wrong.
You act as if there is a "single third party candidate" for every single person, that you proposed "don't vote", to unanimously come together and elect.
Lets apply your theory to the entertainment industry. A couple of games come out, the major ones are all complete shit, while there are some mild shit, to make a statement I should buy the mild shit? Telling the industry that I would settle for shit as long as its not the shittiest?
Lets say, I like some of the candidates propositions but I can not agree with a single ones standing, each candidate would go against my moral code, but I "HAVE TO VOTE" otherwise I can't complain. So the candidate, I elect does exactly what he said he would. I have the more of a right to complain about the policy of my man than a person who didn't vote for him? Or is it simply I have no right to complain about my elected official? That's great motivation to vote for a loser.
Maybe I'm an extremist, but if there is anything less of "getting off your ass and actually trying to change something as opposed to having someone else do it" that qualifies anyone to complain then, for me, it goes as far as paying taxes being sufficient compensation for a voice.

How's the president responsible for any of this?
Also, you don't need to learn English. It's the employers fault if he has low standards, and yours too for not being qualified to get a better job.

People do not go around having kids to get food stamps, there is probably less than 20 cases of that but your viewing everyone with defaulted negative perception. Most people with a lot of kids do not have them with intentions, often times it has to do with poor education towards safe sex.
Do you think America is the only country who has to deal with people who don't speak the language? Not everyone has sufficient resources available to pick up and learn a language on the fly. Let me ask, how long did you spend learning English, me and my classmates were doing it up into high school, it is by no means an easily achievable challenge. (I'll need around 3 to 4 years for Japanese for employers to accept me as a translator for Japanese.)
Immigration has existed since the original Europeans started immigrating onto the Native American land. The damage is painfully obvious, Europeans damaged more than anyone else. But things improved despite it all.
TL;DL, I'm searching for a job and waiting for registration later this month to attend school, I'm not blaming other people for taking a opportunity I was too slow to grab. If I followed your mind set, I wouldn't hate immigrants but just plain anyone who has a job I desire.

also im white born in the states. i dont expect somebody to learn english off the bat i've had class mates whos fathers and mothers have lived in the states for 10+ and refuse to use english and demand to be spoken to in the native language they grew up with. this is also the case with my teachers mother.

You friend's brother is an idiot. The subsidies you get from the government if you're too poor to take care of 1 kid is a fucking joke. If he's that stupid, he shouldn't be allowed to have kids.

Again, protest vote, just don't remain passive. A protest vote might not count for much but at least you can say that you raised your opinion on the matter, even if it was just a piss in the ocean. Sitting at home cursing at your TV doesn't even margin for that.

protest voteThis is my mistake, I had assumed protest vote was trowing a vote at a third party. I looked it up this time, I had no idea you could do this. Sorry for misunderstanding this much.
As for my opinion, I fail to see the difference in the message given, or at least from what I understand, most news shows are under the assumptions that those who won't vote already detest the system or elected individuals, this extends even to those known as "Undecided". Too me at least, it sounds like a means to consume time that changes nothing, yet it qualifies me to complain?
Edit: Though if I had known this sooner, I would have registered sooner. If I saw Obama, last week, sooner (made me want to try liking him again), or if I had seen whats up for voting on, in California, sooner I would have registered as well. Regretfully those are no longer options.

Voting is consent to be ruled by the victor, you lose the right to complain, because you agreed to play by the rules and lost.
It's the equivalent of playing monopoly and going bankrupt and throwing a fit because of it.
Whereas if you never consent, and lose anyway, the game was forced upon you.
this is equivalent of the "Game" You are always playing it whether you agreed to or not, you cannot win the game, and if you think about the game you lose.
That's voting, it's a lose/lose proposition.
I say bring on the Dictatorship, we are ruled by corporate interests anyways, might as well make it official.

Agreed, I, horribly, tried to state something along this line of thinking. That you submit too whatever happens by voting (for elected individuals) the same way you do by not. The right to complain does not favor one or the other.

Spoiler:
I'm fine with being a drone, to some extent. I'd be more likely in the second. My desire for destruction and chaos (because I find it more entertaining than anything else humans create) is quite unsettling (I enjoyed reading about the french revolution too much). Coupled with my extreme guilt complex makes me quite a mess (towards my views of war and the like). If I'm heading there it's because of a couple of loopy things like this.
I won't pretend I've heard this before, as much as I want too. But I can understand why, I had never thought about it before.
