Wrong place to discuss this, but I really want to get it off my chest that the whole "she looks loli, but she's really XYZ years old" excuse REALLY grinds my gears. A penis doesn't know legalities, it doesn't descriminate for labels we put on things, it reacts simply to what's hot and what isn't hot.

It's overkill that loli gets illegalized, but there is logic in their efforts, child molesters are a _very_ real problem, and some lolicons are too pants-on-head-retarded to behave themselves. Tough shit for you guys, but that's life.

I think there's a lot of paranoid people in this thread, for starters if no one else has access to your computer and you're not some evil mastermind or doing some sort of economic fraud or other illegal activities that would screw your over anyways, the police will never ever came and take your computer. If you have random people over at your place that you don't know very well, meaning that they might think your a pedo and report you if they stumble on your loli collecting any sort of crypting will do

It should be mention that there's no special unit that investigates this sort of thing because you can imagine that criticism the police would get if they put down resources on this.

I used to be as paranoid as hell about it, like you seem to be. I considered giving everything up due to the sheer fear of going to prison. Fakku is an acceptable place for this. Why? Because a lot of us like loli, and we're not going to report each other. But someone else online reporting you is really a worst-case scenario, as these days people don't want to go through the legal system if it doesn't benefit (get them money) in any way. Just keep your mouth shut at the right times and don't volunteer information unless you're in a place that you're pretty goddamn sure that at least ONE other person would back your ass up.

Unless you have some major reason for your computer to be checked (involved in some big crime, etc) then there's really no reason for anything to search your computer for anything. Honestly the public is overly panicked about pedophiles. I think part of the reason they may have implemented this law is to keep the basket case parents from complaining. (I mean the kind that doesn't let their kid go outside, makes them go to the doctor when they have the sniffles, etc. Overprotective, and freaking out about every small possibility.)If the government is getting some criticism for not doing enough to control pedophilia and child abuse, in response they may take more extreme measures. So the consentual converse to rape is sex with an adult, that's legal. The converse to child rape is what, exactly?

1st: The Americans are crazy. Their statutory rape laws are batshit insane as they criminalize behavior between teens or young adults and teens (close in age) that is accepted in most of the world as something normal.

2nd: Banning loli does nothing against actual child abuse. I've already wrote about this, so I won't repeat myself.

3rd: Child abuse is usually done by a close relative or very close friend of the family. It's usually someone that the victim and their parents know.

4th: The moral panic around pedophiles has been going strong for over 30 years now and it ruined several lives and has resulted in with hunts and trumped up sentences that makes my blood run cold. It actually hinders the cause of child protection as they divert the attention to various ill defined bogeymen or causes away from the real issues at hand:

You can't discriminate rape, it's all bad. Sex is different, there are ages in which is it acceptable and ages in which it is not.

If you think about laws 50 years ago a girl age 15 was legal age in the United States. In Dark Ages 12 years old was legal marriage age. Different times call for different laws but if art is going to become illegal I'm going to start a revolt.

It'd be sex with someone that's not an adult which could be a very controversial topic as many people don't think the non-adults know what they're really doing even if it's consensual, and there for they'd be emotionally hurt by it later on in life. But considering we're just talking drawings there's no problem. Especially as the drawings aren't very realistic.

Maybe a better example would've been violent movies or most fps games, where they are killing people like flies. Thus they must be murderers who just haven't murdered anyone yet, wouldn't it be safest if you just put them in jail to protect the people? Or an even better example that fantasy is different from reality would be that many women ( a bit less then half) have had or has fantasies about being raped. Which would mean that in about half all the rape cases the girl actually wanted to be raped. This sounds as wrong to me as calling lolimanga-likers for pedophiles does.

To women and rape fantasy, there's a big difference between fantasy and reality, there's no guarantee a girl will enjoy rape if she finds it erotic, and I have no idea why you're bringing this up in respects to calling a lolicon (proper term for "lolimanga-liker") a pedophile.
