Kind of Important
A ray of Tsunlight.
Not afraid. But I dislike going there immensely.
Most of it is fine, except for that polishing spinner thing, and any kind of florine or teeth hardener. I have an annoyingly sensitive gag reflex, so that florine rinse always bothers me a hell of a lot.
I go because I know I need to. But that doesn't make me enjoy it.

I was traumatized on my first visit since all my friends told me all the food I ate would erupt from my gums when the dentist removes the tooth.
Not anymore. I'm just bored when I visit the dentist now.

I am not afraid of dentists although it hurts a little bit when they are doing something in my mouth.

No... I pay them to help my teeth, why the heck should I be afraid?
If they're a creep or have no license to practice, THAT's when I'd be afraid. :\

Not really. I only visited the dentist once so I can't really say I'm scared. And it was just to clean my teeth.

i have only visited the dentist for a clean and occasional descaling..
althoug i'll have to get a few teeth realigned at some point.. PROTIP: dont play with loose teeth as a kid.. makes em wonky :S
i only hate it when the drill or the scraper nicks the inside of your mouth and you get bleeding in your gums and whatnot.. other than that...i dont mind..
anyone else have a mad urge to nibble or just enjoy having the nurse/hygenist's hands in your mouth?? i do! lol! and she's pretty to boot :D

The only 2 things that i hate about them is the smell and the gut wrenching sound the drill makes, it drives me fucking crazy and makes me want to commit suicide...thats all.

I got traumatized by them as a kid, you can say I'm afraid...No, I'm scared shitless sometimes. That trauma still hunts me to this day, eventually I'll man up and head over to the dentist more often...

Had a filling a few years ago. Wasn't nearly as bad as I thought but I pray to the flying spaghetti monster I never need my wisdom teeth out. Overall I'm not afraid of dentists but am apprehensive about seeing them. (Did I just contradict myself?)

I... am not afraid of it at all actually. When i was 11 i had to get a root canal, and i absolutely loved it. which is kind of weird... i hate novacaine though. i have an immunity to laughing gas, so i HAVE to use novacaine, and it sucks in my opinion. I wish i was like my mother. She has an immunity to it. takes like ten times the normal ammount for her to feel it.

Oddly enough, I was fine with the dentist when I was really young. It wasnt until I was about 12-13 that I started fearing the dentist. I went into the "operating room" and she used this awful scraping machine (literally, it was a white robotic tooth scraping machine) on my molars. The machine then proceeded to stab a hole in my cheek while shooting lysterine into my mouth (and the new hole in my cheek). It was a horrible experience, and I still have a mark on my cheek to prove it.

No lol...because when i was back in the philippines...every time i go there for braces adjustment...my dentist always tells me to come on this day...and that day he'd let me join with a bunch of girls...lol...and he teases me lol...that bastard lol...He even puts me behind the "Chair" so i can see the cleavage of the girl...and i was like..."ill go on the other side..." lol...best dentist ever! lol
Edit: He even gives me the Cellphone number of the girls...lol...I dated one of them lol.

Honestly I'm more afraid of orthodontists than I am dentists, the dentist has never been that big of a deal for me sure Novocaine and drilling sucks but that's rare for me anyway. Back when I had braces going t the Orthodontist sucked, it was uncomfortable and when they tightened the things down it hurt for a few days afterwards(not that bad the day of but after was a pain) it went away after a bit and it was no problem.
Real problem was that I had a baby tooth that didn't want to fall out so they had to actually cut into and remove a section of my gums and roof of my mouth because the adult tooth was growing in at a weird angle because the baby tooth wouldn't fall out. Had some plaster thing stuck in the hole in the roof of my mouth for a while after that before they removed it and hooked wire to the tooth to just straight up pull the fucker into place.
So in short Orthodontist fear> Dentist fear for me
