To kill a god is easy, forget everything about it and eventually it will disappear and it's equall as killing a god. I have already kill my god right now i'm with the demon nation.
This is interesting...Because of this I remembered a Theist VS Aethist debate about "Did God create man? Or did man create God"? Again, as an Agnostic, I do believe of its existence, & its existence alone, but not to the point of exercising any religious practices... Thus only seeing him in a philosophical way, but not in a religious way... But then again, I do not deny the possibility of the other opinion because it does have its realistic reasons...
But what's funny to to this guy's point of view is that he still points out demons... No offense man, but I think denying God should also mean denying anything related to him... Including angels & demons... & thus believing only in the realities of the physical world just like an Aethist... Then again, you may not deny him, but oppose him in a way, considering if you're a satanist, or you just hate him because you got a little "bubu" in life... Peace Out!

Christian, believe in God and Jesus being his son. Not into a lot of the dogma of the church though, basically because there can be radically different interpretations of Christianity's rules, so instead I study it and choose my own.I noticed just now that many people think that the Christian God (same as the Jewish and Muslim God) doesn't have a lot of background. I used to think so too, but when I started studying the Kabbalah and some Gnostic texts, I found out that God is pretty much as badass as the other gods of different mythologies.
Also, most people that say that Bible stories are lame. All of them, I bet, never even opened a Bible. Prophets summoning bears to beat blasphemous punks to oblivion, the ground opening up to swallow whining Jews, and the fucking Armageddon! You guys are missing a lot.
Don't just say that we are uptight brainwashed worshipper of a preaching zombie. Do some actual research, plus try to understand.

Sorry. i'm not the one who believe in GOD or other GREAT things. i'm in science side,
the opposite side of spiritual. Because i just believe in something that is real and can (almost) be proven. like i believe in evolution thing than God create the world in 7 days. but i believe plague in Egypt before Moses across red sea because there are (kind a possible) scientific evidence about it

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

I don't like the idea of organized spirituality, it should be a personal matter. But personally, I believe there is some higher power at work. It seems too unbelievable that all this came out of nowhere. I'm unsure about an afterlife but it's not something I'm really concerned about.

Science is not the opposite of spirituality, you know. Science is to study, to learn. Spirituality can be studied to deepen understanding, and spirituality can lead science to more knowledge. Galileo, the greatest scientist of his time, quote that it is through science and arithmetic that God wrote the laws of the universe. And as stated, theologians go to scientists to explain the reality of biblical facts.

Jesus people, I swear you just ought to sticky one of these topics that end up being ATHEISM VS THEISM locked in an epic battle for a thousand years. Heh, but in all seriousness no I don't believe in God and although technically atheist I prefer the term Skeptic as atheist brings certainty about it. The arguement that Scientists in the past were christian therefore religion is Good is an arguement riddled with so many flaws I can't even be bothered to go through them all.But first to get things straight. The burden of proof is on the theist, second the arguement that "You can't disprove therefore You are silly" I don't believe in santa clause and robot ninjas CAN YOU PROVE TO ME THEY DON'T EXIST.

I am a completely wholehearted and devout Christian. :3
So yes, I believe in God, but I don't understand this "great beyond" you speak of.

Use Epicurus's statement. You might say, "God's testing us, he's not malevolent" for "If God is able, but unwilling, then he is malevolent", but that's been proven wrong too. First of all, the "test" is our lives, right? Well then, what would be the point of the "test" if everyone wasn't given the same test? What would "God" be testing? Your ability to keep blind faith while having been pampered throughout your entire life or your ability to keep blind faith while having to survive being abandoned on the streets as a child?

You see, God, being all-knowing, knows that everyone is different. We, as humans, for example, when we "test" people, we give the same test, or a similar test to treat everyone equally. However, God, as he created everyone equally, knows that everyone has their own circumstances, and are given a different test, but which is in turn equal because that is what he intends because he is all-knowing.

If we have our own circumstances, then we aren't equal. You admit these are different tests, but they're equal just because that's what "God" intended? You just pulled a cop-out, "God works on a level we don't understand". You're also just contradicting yourself left and right.

Epicurus' statement is BS made up by cynical guys who were to narrow-minded to think outside the concept of the Jewish god. Also, go read some of the Bible, preferably the old testament where God is spiteful as a spoiled brat.
While God in the sense of Abraham's God is forgiving he is also very vengeful and cruel to both his followers and those who deny him.
Also, not religious here. But I would never discard the possibility of a god.
